game is dead alread but still a month and half to go
" i just started reading "the gardens of the moon" by steven erikson. im not usually a fantasy book reader, i quite like sci fi, but im 3 chapters into this thing and weve already had a sorceress summoning fire magic from the void of chaos to combat some kind of demonic necromancer in a flying castle mid siege war. its pretty far out there, im loving what little of it ive read so far. ![]() and by read i mean listening to an audio book while listening to dark ambient music while tidying my house and going for walks and tinkering with artistic hobbies because who has the time to just sit in a silent room for 5 hours and look at words on pages in 2024? certainly not me with my goldfish adhd partydrug battered husk of a brain. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" I find it very enlightening. He has a sober, factual view on things and manages to zoom out of the day-to-day to look at the broader picture. As someone who considers himself very caught up in the day-to-day, it's eye-opening! Also helps me brush up on some of my English vocab. I'm German, and words such as corollary are not taught in school. :P I read some of Steven Erikson's books from his The Malazan Book of the Fallen series which are fantastically written high fantasy novels spanning across 10 books. I'll have to earmark that name, I am quite fond of his writing! The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. Last edited by ArtCrusade#4438 on Jun 9, 2024, 10:28:20 AM

" Actually, Im sold. But isnt an audiobook soooo slow. I know you can do other stuff but its like 3 times longer than just reading. |

" Try reading during shopping. Or cleaning. Or walking in the wood. Or walking to job. |
