last epoch = the end for poe 1 can poe 2 compete?

I doubt POE2 will be able to compete with POE1. Based on the dev talks we had so far i wonder who they are making that game for.
That said, i do believe LE is the better game in most aspects but it's not going to "kill" POE. At best it will cut off a bunch of it's player base but GGG has already declared that casuals aren't their target audience so they won't care.

The hardcore masochists that GGG is targeting with POE1 will likely stick to it and if there is an evolved form of super masochistic ultra hardcore masochists then those guys might end up playing POE2. Normal people can just play LE or GD.

It's always the same. Every time a new game comes out people scurry out of the woodworks to say this, and never does it come true

Imagine two games co-existing.

I feel like LE will grab those players that are either fed up with D4 or want something more casual-friendly and handholdy than PoE.

The only way for PoE to "die" is if the devs themselves were to simplify the game a lot.

Here we go again...

I will be playing Last Epoch, it certainly wont keep me from playing PoE.

hoho I do like that they are gonna have a full offline mode.

Last epoch will get most of POE players for a few days, but as someone already playing it, the endgame is too thin, the classes are not complex, this game will not be the POE killer you wish for. IT also has other hard to fix flaws, so i won't hold my breath. Still a fun game for a few hours, don't get me wrong

I been playing Last Epoch as well,.... and man are Chris wrong about his hard stances on clicking to pick up currency, trading, and numerous other QoL things.

Honestly don't see myself installing PoE again.... Almost a decade of playing PoE.

That said... lets see how LE handles a big launch. This coming launch will likely be their first real test on server capacity and stability.

As for endgame, I watched the Interview with Ghazzy and another streamer, and the LE Cycles will still be thin at first, but they plan to ramp it up to PoE scale releases.I mean, it's already surpassed D3/4 on that department.
