And D4 won't be "dead" for decades

D4 was DOA. It sold a ton simply because of the name alone.
It's a terrible game that didn't change AT ALL from closed beta to release. The devs ignored all feedback during closed and open beta.

Wait for their 70$ expansions. Everyone will buy it again and be suprsied that its shit, again.

I can't argue with you on that.
I think it's because so many people (including myself) wanted D4 to be amazing. And deep down hope that it eventually gets there. The one thing that nobody can really deny is that they do have awesome cinematics and lore. But sadly in D4 that's all that is amazing.

A league that has the most insane loot piñatas ever is the most popular. What a contrast to what PoE2 will look like, a game that will be so much slower and so fewer drops. I can't think of a bigger contrast.

We don't know anything about how POE2 will play.
All we've seen is slow gameplay with no drops. And we know GGG loves to hide things about game play in their teasers.
I'd be willing to bet with 99% confidence that the game won't be as slow and "ruthless" as what they've showed or allowed the people to play at Exilecon.
If PoE 2 is dodge rolling 150 times to kill a boss that drops 1 magic item then I'll stick to PoE 1. Most people play ARPGs for the fast, easy combat and slot machine drops (as shown by the huge numbers this league is pulling.)

Same.
Greatest league ever made.
Having a great time. Played several builds already. My current problem, is that I can't decide what to spend my several hundred divines on. I'm thinking about an armor stacker as the ceiling is sky high. But it would cost more than a few hundred divines to get there.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
Working on my 3rd level 100 in our private league. I'm surprised to say that this melee toon is the most fun I have had this season, lol.
