FLESH ZOMBIES 3.25 | Wrecker's Stress-Free Build(s) & Filters | 1-Button, HC SSF, Pure Item Freedom
"Hey, Htnn! It doesn't matter the order you pick for the Nerco ascendancy points. Mostly, you just base it on gear that's currently dropped for you. So if you're short on Resists, getting the free resists is really helpful for levelling fast. That minion leech is also really awesome but it's "two ascendancies away" which takes some patience. But the minion leech couples perfectly with Petrified Blood. You'll see once you have both selected. The minion leech basically keeps you at full health while keeping the protection of Petrified Blood for the lower 50% of your health. So if using Petrified Blood makes you nervous now (use a life flask whenever you feel you want to), there's no need to activate it until you're getting your minion leech. I use a life flask (that eventually removes Bleed). Does that answer your questions? I think I got all of them, but please ask as much as you like. I'll answer when I can. https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast

Okay, so just so I understand the leech that our minions give us ignore the "Not being able to heal the top 50% of your HP(the 51%-100% portion) and that allows us to walk around with topped HP most of the time?
The only other question I have at the moment is regarding someone elses comment in the thread earlier concerning damage being lacking. I'm level 75 now and just finished the campaign(Act 10) and pretty much the entire way through I was melting stuff but in Act 10 I did run into a couple of monsters that just seemed to not die, or take FOREVER to kill, they were just monsters on the map so I kinda just ran away from them. Do note at this point I only had 4 ascendancy points and I took the Resist option with my first 2 so I did not have the Unholy Might thing that converts our Minion damage into Chaos, not sure how big of a bump that's gonna be. But anyways I guess my question is what is your opinion on this build lacking damage? Do you think we can just spend a bunch of currency to get kitted out with insane gear and the damage will come? This league seems to be absurd with the amount of currency that drops so I'd imagine we'll be able to craft some pretty nutty pieces of gear. Ok well now that I'm in the swing of things I guess I do have a few more questions, ha ha! Sorry, I appreciate your taking the time to respond. For the "Flesh and Stone" gem, what stance should we be sitting in most of the time? Or is it something we need to micro manage depending on the situation? The one button that we're spamming that's just "Enduring Cry" correct? For the "Arrogance" support gem linking with "Clarity" can you explain the thought process for that? Why do we want to reserve life? Is there any alternate support gem we could take instead that makes sense for the build? For the Specter's I really like the Monkey guy that gives Frenzy charges, I kinda have my doubts about the other guy with the proximity shield, can you explain why you like that one so much or why you think he's the best 2nd choice? Are there any other close second choices that you think fit well with the build that I could consider? Last question, are there any Unique Items(Orange items) that we should be trying to obtain that would really boost this build up? Again, thanks a ton for helping a noob out here. | |
Oh yeah, sorry 1 more question, what are your thoughts for a 1H weapon? I've currently got the "Midnight Bargain Engraved Wand" in my sights but am not sure if there is some sort of crafted Rare that would be better.

" "Htnn! You ask as many questions as you like. Don't be sorry at all :) . "Yes. The terminology and math are quite specific but simply speaking, yes. With the minion leech, we get the positives of Petrified Blood, without the negatives. "Damage is a subjective thing. Over a player's PoE 'career' many players have played some of the many builds that have melted content. Those builds are around for sure. I give a lot of item freedom (not recommending specific gear) and design my build with as few clicks as possible. That in nature will have the initial consequence of lower damage output. But once you get used to items and have an idea of what you're looking for, the build does very well, for a low-click build. One thing I hope changes in PoE 2 is that enemies can't have certain mod combos. In PoE 1, there are some enemies that randomly get a really stupid combination of mods which makes that crazy tanky or annoying. Unfortunately, it's just the nature of PoE 1, for any build. "Once you're fully ascended you'll only be doing Chaos Damage. So only the defensive stance will be of any benefit. It's a HUGE defensive boost too. So get close when you (just be aware of ranged hits). "Correct. I only bother with it in "boss" fights. "Ideally, we don't want to reserve life, but the life regen Clarity brings is "required" for all of our trigger skills. So if you can find gear with some sweet mana regen mods to makeup for it, Awesome! Then definitely do that if the cost isn't big. We end up crazy tanky, even with the reserved life though. So don't go out of your way for it. (On a side note, there's the reservation mastery that gives that increase to Max Elem. Res. if we're reserving both mana and life. So if you get the mana regen mods, still reserve a level one Clarity. Cool? "There are many great Spectres that suit us in the game. But I truly hate Spectres in PoE 1. There's nothing that explains their stats and skills in the game. Plus, they are a PAIN to resurrect. So I honestly only care about the Frenzy charges. The proximity shield is a "well, I guess I can summon another Spectre...so..." kind of spectre. I ignore the Prox. Spectre when it's up. It's just extra defence for us if we're coincidentally in the right spot. If you feel like trying to get some of the community's recommended spectres, go for it. But for me and my house? They aren't worth the effort when all I want to do is have fun. " "To me, I prefer a one-handed wand over any unique I've found in the game. Uniques are awesome, but only if they completely complement your build in every way. Many unique are planned around as opposed to used apathetically/by chance. For this specific build, any wand that has an increase to either Minion Skill Gems or Increased Minion Damage is well worth your while. Minion Attack Speed or Crit Chance/Damage won't do much for us in comparison. If you find a minion wand with 100%+ Increased Minion Damage, it'll be better than increasing Gem levels (at low levels). Increasing minion gem levels only becomes superior to increases in % damage when stacked together quite a bit. I think that's all your questions. Let me know if I missed any or if you have any more. I'll respond as quickly as I can (but as I'm sure you noticed, that can be a few days). I hope the build is still treating you well! https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast
