Reading people saying to skip a league mechanic is dumb.
What is the point of a new league if we're skipping it due to bad design and It being not tested as always.

If GGG would give a damn about testing, there would be thou zens of players willing to sing an NDA and test the mechanic of the game prior to it being released.

Tota was bad and I gave up before they fixed it. Seen videos later with it being fixed but once you give up, you give up.

This league and whatever name it has, pure bad design and not tested. Rewards are meh after unlocking the tree.
Stop and read, empowered monsters that make your map much longer with barely and drop increase.

Archnemesis has never left the game, it was just redesigned.

Point is to have fun. If making league mechanic makes enemies so hard that you no longer have fun, I think its better to skip it and have fun with core game.
You know what other league was hard AF and I was skipping it entirely? Betrayal, Sentinel and Archnemesis.

Don`t know what people are crying about.

Leauge mechanic is easy to understand also gives nice rewards. Especially when you combine blue with yellow wisps.

My build costs about 10 - 15 div if not less and I am farming juiced T16 maps. Yes you won`t oneshot the juiced boss anymore but I am loving a bit harder boss fights. (They are not that hard) Ofc you have to check your rolls on the map before you go in.
ToTA was something that was very different from the usual leagues. It was a mini-game. You could also say that it was a whole different game: An autobattler where you strategies and plan for the long term. You could have a lot of fun with ToTA if core PoE is something you were bored of and wanted something different to do while also making some currency on the sidelines.
League is legit just sentinel (which was awful imo) with those three ascendancies. Pretty boring, and the performance is very bad.
Terrible league imo.
I much prefer this league to ToTA.

I thought the ToTA mechanic was kinda fun, except that I had to create a meme character specifically for the mechanic as it inevitably became "run around trying not to get hit because even the tiniest scratch is an instant one-shot", and I hate that. The rewards were fine, though. I liked the tattoos.

This league feels like a more natural extension of the PoE game, though. Sure, it's got the potential to create very over-tuned mobs, but overall it can be played by a very wide variety of builds. While ToTA was completely cheesy, Affliction just forces players to be conscientious about their builds and how they interact with the league mechanic, but otherwise fits more naturally into the main game, while also being very rewarding.

I'll take Affliction over ToTA any time.

Nah. My current Hexblaster doesnt have that much DMG and I can easily go full ham on wisps even in T16 maps and not notice that sudenly enemies are omega tanky and take few minutes to kill. I also very rarely die (but Im not doing Legion, never liked it). Sure, mechanic requires some decent gear but its not as bad as people make it.


idk, you don't seem tankier than me, or have more dps than me. I usually one tap double/triple empowered harvest rares, but four mod maraketh archers are something else when they're empowered on juiced maps

I'm fine with monsters becoming tankier or dealing more damage, but it just doesn't seem to be worth it because the drops barely change

That might be true. Legion monsters were always overtuned compared to everything else in the game (maybe except Harvest). If you combine it with affliction wisps... well, you will have bad time.
