No performance fixes?
many of us couldnt play last league at all due to performance issues. issues that were not addressed in the entirety of the league, and issues that many of us never had before. last league was the first one i had to bail on simply because playing it was so stuttery.
and i see absolutely zero mention in the patch notes of anything related to performance. i run a guild with near 100 members, should i simply give up on poe until i win the fucking lottery? Last bumped on Dec 10, 2023, 10:02:15 PM

If it's your PC - it's not performance issues on the game's side
Played like 15 chars this league - all good, no performance trouble |

" Not sure how winning the fucking lottery would help you with PoE, I'd try the regular one where you can win money. However, if you think it is your computer's fault and you can't afford a new one (or new parts), then yes, sadly, waiting for money to show up seems to be the only way. Bird lover of Wraeclast

" There are some problems with stutters that never existed before and trust me it's not related to hardware (i just upgraded my pc and the same thing happens). I think it's related to shaders (every time the game stutters the shader / CPU bar both go crazy and when the shader bar goes to 0 CPU bar also goes back to normal). This happened for me at least after the last cache clean up last league and never improved since (my issue might not be related to the particle system that made the performance worse for other people). |

i built this computer 4 years ago SOLELY to play poe. i cant afford to do that again. especially since i had future proofed it as much as i could on my budget at the time.
some people are ALWAYS screwed by performance tweaks. last league was the first time i was hit so hard, and the first time the raised issues werent addressed in the league itself. while yes, i could solve this issue by buying a new computer with 10x the recommended specs, my system still exceeds them enough it being unplayable is laughable. edited for typo Last edited by Stormy_Fairweather#1124 on Dec 3, 2023, 6:43:10 AM

" I didn't know about your computer being only four years old. Mine is going on 6 or 7 now and I don't have such issues. So in that light, buying a new one might not solve the problem at all. No idea what causes these issues. Maybe your OS is doing some weird stuff with the shader directory, like scanning it for viruses or indexing the files or removing them. Bird lover of Wraeclast

" ah yes the classic "its your pc issue not the game" path of exile is totally known for having good performance and never had any performance issues YEP /copium Last edited by Gopstop22#6572 on Dec 3, 2023, 6:53:41 AM

" Have you tried reinstalling windows (not resetting) and try PoE on a clean fresh install? What CPU GPU and which RAM ya got? SSD, i guess, you have either way 1080p gaming? 1920x1080p res? |
|
" havent reinstalled windows recently. 3.6ghz processor, 8gB video card, 16gB ddr4,and yes ssd. 1920x1080 since it is my monitor's default. not stellar specs i know, but MORE than enough for poe. in theory. |

" You should try and reinstall windows before the new league launches and see how it goes. Takes like lazy 2hours tops Especially if you're an active user in terms of downloading, deleting, storing, doing stuff at the PC Reinstall is like a fresh air, also clean the dust inside of every component you can and the case itself |
