POE builds are overcomplicated mess.
" " I have done what you have suggested several times in the past. And it didn't work as you think it did. But I guess that's on me for not following and fully instantly understanding how to play one of the best listed meta builds or something. Heck the last character I tried experimenting with was a Poison build and that went out the window real quick with everyone telling me "Noooooooooo, that's fall off real fast"(Granted, I don't recall which patch/league THAT was I just recall talking about it with others and was told that poison wasn't doing too hot at the time. JOKES on me I guess). Why bother trying to learn when the cost of failure is pretty high. Just follow X build, pray it holds up over the leveling/tutorial of the game, and hope you have fun with it. I don't even look at half the roster because why bother trying? I'm already setting up for a run of the new league with my usual attempt at one of my "Wham" builds(either Ground slam or Ice Crash). And I can probably already tell you I'm not getting past Yellow maps regardless. Which is around my expectation. But trying to learn the game isn't as easy as you think it is, and more to my core complaint, the work needed to have another STAB at it in my opinion leads to burn out. I'm gonna leave with this as I don't feel it's helpful at this point for me to keep harping on it; I'm glad PoE is as complex as it is for you guys to just bend it over your knee and break it. But just how much work is expected before the game becomes "Fun" again? |

People forget PoB exists. You can make 100 builds in PoB in a single day and see how good they are. Yes, there will be some exceptions, where even tho PoB shows good numbers, in game it feels like shit but its minority.
