Game for trade scammers.

I spend a lot of time in this game and first time i dont like how devs not help in any part of my problem. Player who scam me not in ban, money that he "earn" devs cant return to me. Now i understand that scamming its leagal in this game. Much easy way to earn currency trying to scam. This guy earn money for one trade when i earn this money for two days. After this i dont spend any real money in this game. If u have all proves, screenshots and send to devs, they do nothing to change this. Player who scam me once do the same with me again later. I send them screenshots to devs, zero reaction. Game for scammers. I never try scam someone and i see that scammers can do real money.Fraudsters are free to deceive people and developers will not do anything with all the evidence. Farm for the cheaters. Your problem is that you were deceived.

First of all, repeating your main messages three time doesnt make them more convincing.

Secondly, if you got scammed it is 100% your fault. In regards to player safety, this game is more than secure, as you literally HOVER items, before u are even able to click on accept.

GGG is still a somewhat small company, and if they would open the door to reimbursements, there would be no time left to develop the game.

That being said, getting scammed sucks and it would technically be nice to have those people removed. But instead of blaming the devs, take this as a learning experience. Here are some tips to never get scammed again:

1. Take YOUR TIME: might be annoying to others, but unless you are 100% sure the trade is what u wanted, dont hit accept.
2. Everytime someone stops the trade when items are already in, ESPECIALLY when they ask for a correction of the price, be VERY ALERTED. This is a huge red flag. Check triple, or just straight out leave party and trade with someone else.
3. If you have to pay an uneven number, tend to the upper part of the currency exchange rate to avoid case 2 from happening. Example: U want to buy something for 1.5 divines. Correct div/c-exchange rate is 1/232 which would mean 116 chaos. Round that up to 120, in order to make sure the trade goes through.
4. Here are some of the MOST typical scams. When buying those items, check double:
- empower/enlighten/enhance level 4, after trade cancelling they try to sell corrupted level 3.
- 6-link chest, after trade cancelling they try to sell 4-link+2link chest
- double-digit divine trade, like 11div and some chaos. After trade cancelling they put 1div and the correct amount of chaos.
- bulk-trading essence of loathing (most expensive essence), instead they put essence of anguish (one of the cheapest ones but very close in colour)
- Chanced amount of currency in the trade whisper. Simple: be alerted if the text colour is white. Golden means they clicked whisper on the trade side, as GGG already implememted this to make sure people cant manipulate the whiser.

There are always other things people try to scam for, but with respecting just tip 1 and 2 u are save. I have been scammed twice in like 8k hours of poe, only in the first 1000. Never after that. Just learn from your mistake.

Let me clarify that I have evidence of fraud. A man imitates a sales message. I have more than 100 trading positions, why can a person who is purposefully trying to deceive players continue to do this and catch others in the mistakes. People are not robots and life does not pass without mistakes. If you do not punish cheaters, then only those who have not yet been caught making a mistake will play this game. And when you want to get help from developers who can check the transaction logs and its messages, which the trade message imitates, it will become clear that the person is specifically doing this. Why can such a person continue to engage in fraud, and I have to see how he continues to freely play this game with impunity, as if this is how it should happen in the world. I repeat, it turns out that if I constantly try to catch the mistakes of others, I am doing a good job teaching other players a lesson...
Just read the fucking item and decide whether you want to click accept or not. You act like someone pulled a magic trick on you.

3xG actually ban players who receive many reports. They are initially flagged, and if they repeat the behavior many times, they may be banned.

Also note that screenshots are not valid evidence, as they can be easily altered.

And you don't need to create many threads, you can make all the post in only one thread.

I know you're very angry and frustrated right now, and that's understandable. But don't worry, you'll learn from this just like we all did, and you'll be enjoying the game again very soon.

The tools to prevent you being scammed are in your hands even if you don't bother to think of using them, GGG take a hands off approach because at the end of the day YOU confirmed the traded.

But that dose not mean you shouldn't report them, even if it won't result in an immediate ban or a blow by blow what they do about it, you should still report them, it will get the account flagged and repeated flags will eventually result in a ban.

All you need to do now is pay attention.

Auction house = Problem solved
Bots took this game anyway. What are you waiting for?

hoho yeah cause bots wouldn't dominate a auction house either.

Hate to break it, but even though it sucks to be scammed, trade scams are 100% your own fault. The game/devs made sure that you can't accept trade unless you've hovered over items traded to you. If you dear your hard earned currency so much, then why can't you take a few more seconds to inspect the items and make sure you are not getting scammed?
Auction house is 100% the more pleasant option. Don't give a damn what everyone else says, getting rid of price fixers would be the best thing to happen to this game. Bots will always be around anyway. Try to sell delirium orbs for example. Wish buying bods were faster though
