Divines per hour more important than fun

I can safely say that most of the people who talk about div/h nonstop are rmt'ers and want to make as much money as possible so that they can sell their divs and mirrors to rmt websites. I can't see why else they'd want to turn this into a job, or why else anyone would want to farm 5000 divs in a temporary league

Some people enjoy min maxing to their characters to the extent they spend that amount of currency on them. Why do people get so salty about how others choose to play the game?

Because it's not a game for those people, it's a job.

And you don't need to do the "current thing" to make currency or minmax your character. I almost always play off-meta builds and still min-max my builds to whatever extent I want, without doing any of the "div/h" strategies. If I had to do sanctum or heist to make currency, I'd uninstall the game right away.

Do you think people enjoy doing tota 10 hours a day with their void sphere build? Do you think they're playing a game by doing that, or is it more like a job?

Good for you, that's the beauty of POE, you can play it your way and they can play it theirs. I'm sure most people have more important things to be concerned about than how many hours per day some random person they've never met plays POE for.

Thats the question here, why some vocal players care about divine/hour, it is overall a construct based on comparing their playstyle to others. Not doing what they want, but what is best salary/hour (sounds like work, right?). We're not talking about checking what players minding their own business do, but why some people yell "not fun because not earning as much div as streamers/other players"

All my gear I'm wearing, except uniques, is self made (including jewels). I don't need to pay for it.
Loot is not bad, it is just double influenced metacrafted gear is OP - do you think people calculate everything around buying BiS gear now?

But that is still not a reason to calculate div/h as fun.

That's why i specifically said endgame character. Obviously during a league start where you start with literally nothing at least for a short while some of the stuff that drops will be useful, for an hour or two before it's replaced. Does that make it good loot? I don't think so.

Good loot would mean you can drop an upgrade for your build at any given point of your progression, no further steps required. The likelyhood obviously decreases the higher your gear level is already but the potential should be there.
That's NOT the case in POE. Good gear, at least when it comes to rares, CANNOT drop.
The best thing you can hope for is a fractured base you can then waste tons of currency on hoping to get a good item at the end. But this is NOT loot anymore. This is crafting, and that's bad enough on it's own.
And for the vast majority of players outside SSF crafting is about as much of a fairy tale as loot. The reality for most people is: "I need an upgrade, i buy it on the trade site" which again, is designed to be bad on purpose to deter players from using it.
We have 3 means of getting items in this game and all 3 are intentionally designed to be incredibly annoying or outright useless. Loot is made useless so that crafting has a place in this game, crafting is made annoying and punishing to make sure trade has a place in the game, and trade is made annyoning to try and keep people from using it. It's mindboggling how stupid the whole design is honestly.

So good loot is something endgame character would wear? Could you give us an example of such item that would be good loot?

Grinding gears can happen for a variety of reasons, including driver error, a worn out clutch or insufficient or poor quality transmission fluid. It's important to address this symptom when it occurs, as it could be a sign of a more serious issue that may impact the drivability of your car.

Edit: in this situation its part of the "vision"

Do you compare risk of a car accident that can end with death to playing computer game?

No. Just making a comment about the company name and what grinding gears is and how it relates to the vision of this game.
