I appreciate the response from all of you, but with regret I say that another frustrating thing is hearing a lot of "what" and no "how".

Because there are multiple ways to answer the how, actually so many, that its not reasonable to ask for us to exactly know what you need right now. I try to give u a few examples so you can be more proactive when it comes to seeking out information.

1. Do you understand certain league mechanics?
- If not, look on youtube for guides how to use those efficiently. You will enavitably stumble across setups to farm those mechanics as well.

2. Do you want to learn how to improve your efficiency while farming?
- Good, use step one and focus on videos that have something alongside of "farming strat" in the title

3. Do you want to learn more about character stats/build creation?
- probably the hardest of all tasks. Try to understand first how certain setup work by looking into well-written guides that outline offensive and defensive compontents. Check out PoE´s builds of the week: They outline pretty much what a well-written guide needs to have (a.k.a. explaining the mechanics, how certain things tie into each other, how to scale etc) and use this as a template to check further guides in the forum.

4. Do you want to learn how to craft?

5. Do you want to learn how to play the market?
- no idea how to learn that, for me it came with experience

Like... To break it down for you, in the end u need to be very proactive when it comes to learning poe. You need to identify your need, seek out fitting information and be able to utilize your findings and probably adapt them on a league-by-league-basis. And you need to give yourself time. Asking to learn PoE in a league or two is absolutely ridiculous. It took me from 3.09 to 3.14 alone to amass my first 200 div (back then exalts, but u get the idea).

but u know what? It is the most benefitial learning process I´ve ever come across in any video game, because with every bit of knowledge u aquire u will be more competetive in a Softcore Trade Scenario and therefore be able to use your knowledge in the next league to get further into the endgame or be there faster or buy/craft more expensive stuff or whatever.
You are simply amazing, thank you so much for your message!

tbh Im the preson that is buying portal scrolls like everyday. so i think u can sell anything
to me, dropping good stuff and lots of money = fun
if i havent dropped a div in 2 weeks or anything considerably good
then i am most likely gonna leave the league

i think poe has an invisible rating system where people who breach the CoC
are gonna get their drop luck nerf'd

Farming mirrors is where it's at
"For we are not now that strength, which in old days moved Earth and Heaven. That which we are, we are; one equal strength of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will: to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." - Ulysses, Tennyson

And about 200 div to build my character. Played quite a bit the first 3 weeks and just a little after that because I am traveling overseas. My build was 100% complete at the end of week 3 both level 99 and the gear. So I have nothing to spend my currency on (I only play one build a season these days), I have continued to play because I am enjoying the base game and my version of Aero's Cobra Lash Deadeye.

I play for fun and the currency and drops roll in. Now I say that understanding that in The Lake of Kalandra I quit early because the loot was so terrible. So loot does matter, but I really try to prioritize fun #1. I don't craft so all the currency is drops/trading.

In case you were wondering I am playing a fast mapper and have 393 deaths, 2.8m kills, 15 days played (but I leave the game on when I'm watching Youtube to do the occasional trade so it is probably 10 days of playing.

Delirium
Ritual
Metamorph
Blight
Delve

I like to play these and they are profitable. In fact I would say that these 5 mechanics are virtually tied in profitability which should please GGG's balance team.

Anyway, I say all of this as a veteran player who is very happy with the current state of the base game. Time in the league mechanic and Sanctum? ZIPPO. Although I have so many Sanctum tombs I might spend a few days fiddling around with it. Since defenses matter (at least a little bit) now I can come off of my boycott on principle.

noted.
I usually give up on continueing a build when i reach a few dozens deaths (30, 50, 60 idk), usually past Lvl 88-90. So i should learn to be more 'patient' i guess.

Just do it! And keep it simple -

The people who say that are the same people that have several side hustles in real life. They're not the most interesting, just the loudest. I advise to not browse reddit.

I think you are looking at my deaths without proper context. I would say that 99% of the deaths were after I reached level 99 and could play recklessly without penalty. I didn't need level 100 so that was my stop point. And just to be further clear most of the deaths were in hard deep Delve stuff.
