Please explain to me how casual are supposed to enjoy poe?

I know for sure what content i hate and focus only on what i whant. Dont care about profit, skip league as soon as i feel it.
I think it's pretty funny that a thread like this, which is entirely rhetorical where the poster isn't looking for an actual answer or seeking advice, they just want to complain, is always met with actual responses like;

Well actually you see, here's how a casual can blah blah blah.

Like there is gonna be some guy out there who is super casual and somehow finds their way to this obscure forum for a niche game appealing to hardcore fiends of a niche genre and they'll all of a sudden be like;

"Oh my eyes are opened as a casual player, now I see the light on how I as a casual player can find enjoyment in this game I play super casually in my casual free time lifestyle. I would never have seen the way if not for the helpful advice I got on this informative thread dealing with the exact problem I as a casual gamer was facing when logging into to play PoE!"

I dunno, just always find it funny. Not sure if it's a language gap thing or not, but just so you know, these people making these threads aren't looking for answers, the question is always just rhetorical. They're here to complain and to be validated in their sour feelings toward the game, they're not gonna change their mind ever for any reason it's not how people are.
That's how I feel when the game kicks my ass. Means my build is bad.

Can't do sanctum...30min with nothing to show for it (guess my builds is wrong)
Can't do trials...30min with maybe ~20-40c to show for (also wrong build apparently)
Can't do ubers...unless I have a)gear b)the "correct build" c)play the whole entire season to finally enjoy the game?!

Maybe it's just this season or something, feels diff, hard to enjoy it as a GAME. Logging in feels like work/2nd job.
everyone enjoys different things in this game or any game for that matter.

u just didn't find what u like yet. clearly u don't like playing at all i feel bad for you.

if you know thanks me:) i'm dying to find out x'D
For casuals to enjoy the league mechanic , optimal will be for them to have an option to block/unblock the rank .
Solution: Stop comparing yourself to others. Compete vs yourself. Watching streamers might be a bad idea for you if you expect to do the same as them. Not only are they playing more. They play faster, have a community buying items they list(when not ssf) and they have easy access to answers from other streamer friends when they are unsure about mechanics/fights. There is no way you will compete against that unless you have intention of becoming one of them xD

So put away that pride and play the game with goals that fits your playstyle/play time. Overreaching only brings misery.

Asking how to enjoy the game as casual
Says he cant do ubers.
My dude, I play since closed beda, I have prolly around 5k hours and I didnt kill single uber and I dont plan to.
This league I was farming white maps and I farmed 120 divines in 10 days doing that. (playing around 4h a day)
How to enjoy the game? Simple. Find something to do that you can actually do. Stop setting your goals too high.

No idea where this sentiment comes from.

If you can get to maps and have enough skill to clear white maps you can make enough currency playing an hour a day selling essences and random things like log books, scarabs, sanctums, etc... in a week to fund any build you want that isn't mirror tier or requires mage blood or something.

If we estimate 10 hour campaign, and 1 div an hour in essences that 20 hours to have a 10 div build assuming you have zero lucky drops.

I'm terrible at the economy in this game, all I do is underprice my items and immediately sell them, then immediately buy upgrades.

Still managed about 12 Div (got ripped off big time by my own stupidity and i could have had 15+ lol) and completed my atlas other than Maven/UE which I could buy carries for if I really needed to at this point.

I've been "casual" too, I also spent like 7 hours making custom sounds for my filter, shopping around on trade and looking for timeless jewels, etc. My efficiency is atrocious.

PoE is not a casual game, but it can be enjoyed casually.

PoE has a lot of layers when it comes to difficulty/complexity, like many other games. I play a lot of Starfield these days; is my goal to make the most efficient character? No. Is my goal to "do everything"? No. Is my goal to have all the best ships and a spread sheet efficient outpost? No. I enjoy the game as I want to enjoy it.

And while that is easier in Starfield than in PoE, you can still enjoy PoE without making the perfect build, having the perfect items or doing the perfect strategies. A lot of the problems here, is that casual players want/demand/expect to do the same content and achieve the same things as their favorite, non-casual streamer. There will of course be an ocean of distance, expectations and potential between them.

There are some things you just have to accept to be able to enjoy PoE casually.

- You WILL do mistakes. You can blame all of these mistakes on the game, or you can learn from them.
- Some parts of the game are meant for dedicated players. You can accept that you may never be able to reach a point where these parts will become achievable for you, or you can cry about the game not being "casual friendly". Or, you can say "next league, I will try to do X".
- PoE is a game about knowledge. You have to accept that you are in charge of seeking this knowledge. PoE won't hold your hand.

That said, should PoE become more casual friendly? I don't really think it should. Should it become more new player friendly? Absolutely.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
What exacly is casual?
Example casual play is to do campaign, maybe clean atlas, do some random other mechanic (delve, tota, heist) and... it is end of league so might start over with fresh character.
Casual is more like 1div challenge.
