Please explain to me how casual are supposed to enjoy poe?

It is proven by now, thanks to the internet, that this is unfortunately the case for most people. For example; This is why social media like instagram generally has a negative impact on society overall.

What? I'm usually pretty pessimistic and I don't have a generally great view on society as a whole, but really?

Most people can't be happy with what they have and that's been proven? Can you link me some studies, data, anything?

I suspect we aren't getting smarter and a lot of people are unwilling or incapable of thinking for themselves, but have we really sunk this low?

Well you can just google about this subject, there are tons of articles in the media related to studies. For example time magazine as old as 2017, so it's nothing new. Looking at photos of good looking rich people causes depression, anxiety etc...

Oddly enough, I had already read that article, probably around the time it came out, so I am aware that too much social media can possibly have adverse effects on younger people who might be prone to or already suffering from mental health issues.

I was more curious about your claim that most (i.e. nearly all) people are having negative experiences because some people are having better experiences than they are.

It seemed to me that you were saying this was affecting nearly everyone, regardless of age, geographical location or inclination to consume too much social media.

If that article you linked constitutes "proof" for you and you're now claiming that looking at photos causes depression and anxiety, well I suppose I'm better off just leaving it at that.

I might have used some questionable language. So instead of "it is proven that", insert "studies indicate that..."or" we "should strongly consider that for most people..."

I'm generally not confrontational at all and usually avoid confrontation. I'm sorry if I came across that way. I was genuinely perplexed by your comments.

And yes, it was mostly about your questionable language, and you seemingly still persist.

What would be more appropriate, from my perspective, would be "some studies suggest that..." or we "could consider that for some people, the better part of being teenagers and young adults..."

And to get back on topic, I do believe that POE can be enjoyed casually, it's just a matter of tempering your expectations, which shouldn't be as nearly impossible as has been suggested. While some might find this difficult, it's not something that can't be overcome with some work and effort, although that might be problematic for some.

Research studies 'suggest' what they are paid to suggest.

Grim Dawn v1.2 is coming on Nov 16. Huge patch, free content, qol, etc.

GD has become imho on par, if not the superior ARPG of all time. Give it a try if you haven't. PoE is a sinking game due to PoE2 influence.

As i started poe many years ago i dreamed of to be able to get a tanky flickerstrike build running, now 2700h+ i finally got/found it.

Trickster lightning CI/ES overleech with 50/50 block and Aegis, its the most fun build i ever played and will play it npw every damn league again xD.

While you are all working on this post...Can someone tell me how a person with a normal job can afford a mansion, a private plane, and a Yacht?
