How does one player accumulate 226 mirros in one season?
|
He plays almost 24/7, crafts a lot of mirror stuff early on, gets a lot of free stuff, gambles a lot, spends most of his time with the market and in hideout rather than playing the game, and who knows maybe he even helps himself out over other unusual ways to obtain currency.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

the whole situation is strange to me. like, why does someone who looks like he does spend 24/7 online? he should be out partying with chicks

" for the fame of being mentioned in these forums i guess? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" To finish the bow for standard. Either to just piss off tft or to run their own shady business in standard. Cause I doubt someone finds joy by clicking through 200+ mirrors worth of currency just to hit the jackpot for no particular reasons. And even if you're addicted to gambling there are for sure better ways to have more fun with different gambling outside of PoE Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. " I believe at some point Chris mentioned in the podcast leading up to Sanctum release, "for the best games [markets] simulate perfect capitalism" when talking about auction houses and the possibility of additional classes of items being account-bound only. While the point he made was related to the opportunity costs of doing business, he's right that in a more general sense, time = money just as it is IRL. Each of us only has 24 hours in every day, but you and I run so many maps, we make x, then we have to go to sleep or work or care for our children. Others get hundreds of people to do x for them. The common thread is organizing and collective action. Pooling risk, pooling resources, gets shit done. [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

" chicks are much more appealing when you cant have any. |

" You pointed it out yourself already: Not for perfect items, and thats all we are talking about here. And with all the tools we have available, starting with fractured bases, going over fossils, harvest, orbs, essences, eldritch currency... Crafting is far from pure gambling, its probabilistic with odds that you can manipulate pretty well in your favour. In this case, as far as I remember correctly, there were like 17x +2 arrows again but they are also aiming for +1 IAS, so the costs could literally be 17 times lower for already the best weapon in the game. Thats on no scale at all appropriate to take this numbers as a representative baseline for anything |
|
" In some cases during the early crafting state yes. Later on no. Cause crafted mod exalt slam x2 x cannot be changed scour repeat till you hit your 2 desired mods is literally just pure gambling. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid#4643 on Jun 25, 2023, 4:16:30 AM

But like fractures only help for one mod. If I want something like t1 phys attack speed and bleed, pretty basic, then it may never ever appear. That is stupid. Many builds might require certain mod tiers for breakpoints.
And god help you if you need an influenced mod. Then you can't even use a fracture. Crafting blows. And it needs adjustment. Sure method exist to make it easier, but essentially it is rolling a 10000 sided dice 5-6 times. |

" Define "later on". Once again, for the most part you would never double slam into scour, this is literally what looking for perfect item is. You could argue one slam into aisling, which is FAR more likely to give you the results you want and all you will ever need. So its kinda sad that I have to repeat myself here, but this is NOT the crafting you would typically do in any circumstance unless you want a mirror worthy item. |
