Me , you or any player should not contest why GGG does what it does...For what it should matter players should play the game as it is intended by GGG and unless it breaks the TOS find alternatives to what the game offers.
D2 had D2JSP, a lot of bots that farmed currency.
D3 has none of that because the items are bound to you and only drops for you
So I've snipped this down to the two points I'll respond do;
To the first part, this is stupid. Utterly insipid. I'll go to bat for a ton of stuff GGG does, I like the game, and generally speaking, agree with their direction for the game, and have enjoyed basically every league for what it was (though yes I have some critisims of them, the games a bit too bloated, it's onboarding for new players is awful, and its MTX is WAY overpriced, not counting supporter packs, etc).
But to say someone shouldn't question a companies motives or ends is fully insane and a great way to see that company die. Because once a company stops getting feed back is when it starts shooting into the abstract, and people just quietly leave to something else. It makes worse games (and worse everything), though at the same time, companies cannot take every comment or question as the word of god, its a balance to walk.
Second, you bring up Diablo 3 as a counter point due to its BoA items, which is IMMENSELY disengeinous because that game STARTED with Real Money Trading AS PART OF THE DEFAULT GAME. I made 500$ bucks off that game, and still think it was the worst idea I've ever seen launched into an ARPG. And why did this change? Because people complained HARD about it, so hard they fully gutted it, made all items BoA and dramatically upped the suppressed drop rates that encouraged the Auction House (becuase they got a transaction cut).

What you probably mean is that no one should criticise GGG.
Poor choice of words, Actually that is what I wanted to say.
We shouldn't criticize what GGG does as in the end we should enjoy the game as the developers see fit to be played.
Of course people should voice their opinion and let them know feedback. Doesn't mean they should do it, even though I would like them to do most of them.
So yea to everyone commenting to what I said it was just poor choice of words.

D3 real money AH was not the issue...people were the issue for which it had such a negative impact.
I brought up D3 because it was the only game that could compete at that time...it didn't , we can still place it in comparison with other games.
Even so we deflected from the starting thread.

People were not happy with D3 because it was an AH simulator. The best way to obtain gear was by playing the AH rather than the game itself. It's the same with PoE, where the best way to progress is to profit from trading. Botters and RMTers have an easy life, while people actually playing the game are miserable.

There is a lot of truth in this. The amount of money you can make playing the actual game pales in comparison to playing the Trade Site. If you know what to look for and follow FoTM classes, you make so much more money.
I would expand on that as stating "the best way to make money is to not play at all". All the best means of earning money requires you to never actually play the game.

TFT moderators are garbage. I got banned for something i didn't do. They accused me of giving a fake review to a player which isn't true, they also didn't provide any proof of it. I tried reasoning with one of the moderators to no avail. I got permanently banned.

TFT is a terrible group ran by terrible people profiting off POE's terrible trade design. Anyone defending them is part of the problem.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

Have anybody EVER been unbanned again by the cartel? These threads pop up a lot, and it sounds like people get almost randomly banned "just because".

(I translated korean to english so it may sounds weird.)
Hello
I am a newbie who recently started playing on the Korean server with the 3.21 version. I wanted to try using TFT, but I got banned.
I wanted to explain my situation to the TFT moderator, but I couldn't find a way to get back into the channel or contact them, so I'm asking for help here.
Poe account name: mooncros
IGN: BurningBod
Discord ID that was banned: [Removed by Support]
Nickname used in the TFT channel: BurningBod
Nickname shown when sending a private message to the mod (@contact mods here): [Removed by Support]
The reason for my ban was twofold:
https://imgur.com/asn1OE0
1. made several requests to remove trade-restrict status.
2. linked a fake account.
I admit that the first reason was my fault. I thought @contact mods here was connected to one specific mod, so I kept sending messages, which ended up annoying the moderators. I'm sincerely apologies for that.
Regarding the second reason, I did not link a fake account. I am a genuine newbie to Path of Exile, and I have never linked a fake account.
https://imgur.com/SDHYZ1a
I played EVE Online while using Discord, and my Eve online channel nickname is [Removed by Support], but in the TFT channel, I used the nickname BurningBod without changing my EVE Online nickname.
I think the problem arose because I sent the mod a private message using my [Removed by Support] Discord ID instead of my BurningBod nickname. I'm not sure, though.
and Moderator sent me a message saying
"in two week you have gained 4 levels and no new gear, stop wasting our time with your fake account"
https://imgur.com/W9ybF98
During those two weeks, as i remember, I changed my scepter, necklace, and rune positions of helmet and gloves , and I bought The Brass Dome and created 6 homes and was preparing to The Brass Dome to create a 6-link.
https://imgur.com/S3ePoKF
and I didn't know 4 level ups in two weeks would be a problem, as I usually play slowly.
I'm very disappointed and sad that I got banned from the biggest Path of Exile community before even getting a chance to use it properly due to my ignorance and foolishness.
If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful.
Now where did I put that violin.....
