[3.24] Ice Shot / Lightning Arrow Deadeye (Or Tornado Shot) - 400%+ MS, League Start Viable!
Hey, stupid question in pob the skills under the "leveling" tab are set at random levels, should all of these just be leveled as normal while leveling?

I'm probably just being too dumb to understand how this works but I was checking the equipments for my next upgrade and found out the manaforged 6 link in the high budget tree
is that right? I tought that a triggered spell couldnt do another trigger... from what I understood manaforged should trigger frenzy that would give me a power charge on crit AND trigger the "cast on critical" Tornado and Warlord mark or the tornado is a self cast? is it good enough to drop artillery for it? it's my first time trying a bow/deadeye build |

Can someone help me please? I'm a filthy casual and only follow build guides so don't know how to fully use PoB.
I can't understand the reason my damage is so much different than the PoB. I copied my build in with items and skill and have like 50k-60k damage, while the build PoB has 170k at the section im up to. Like it's showing 90% crit while i have like 30%, the only difference i see is 30% crit on bow.. https://pobb.in/zS5VtiBpKWSd That's my PoB, would really appreciate the help. Have about 20 or so divines to play with to change things around. edit - I just upgraded the quiver, not sure if pob updated. Also spent most of my divines on a new bow with higher damage and crit, got up to 80k dps in game, crit at like 46% in hideout, still big difference though, no idea what to do. Added new link to PoB. What is the supposed uptime for rage and berserk?
Looking at the POB, at lv 90 mid budget your TS cost 8 mana but frenzy cost 14 mana Manaforge needs 3x the mana cost so you need to spend 42 mana to trigger it, that means you need to shoot 5-6 times before 1 frenzy which will crit and cast warlord's mark? Usually the enemies I found die within 2-3 shots, so the manaforge most often will hit nothing and nothing left to hex as well Am I understanding it wrong here? Also I've been manually casting warlord's mark instead for better uptime IGN HeadmasterBen Last edited by MrValentine#7045 on Jan 8, 2024, 7:16:36 AM

Hi,
I am really struggling with survivability lately. I try to do the abyss thing but it is verry common that I get recked by the yellow mobs, especially when they have a huge HP pool. Am I so behind with my damage? Can that be the problem? And that is on tier 7 maps, with let's say 4k+ whisps. Not even mentioning tier 16 maps, where I get friggin drestroyed by a single yellow mob. I know I have cold resi uncapped, I am waiting for a guy to come online to buy new ones ;) Where do I go from here with this build? I am stuck and really having a hard time sticking up with the league at this point. https://poe.ninja/pob/10i8 |

Should I try 75% of resis (with purity of elements) or can I have them lower and rely on flasks? Dying sun for example brings 50% fire res and will be up most of the time.

Addressing a few questions...
" Warlord's Mark grants rage on stun. Hits that freeze cannot stun, and crits always freeze, which means you won't consistently generate rage unless you have some way to prevent freeze (such as Secrets of Suffering). Or a low crit rate, but then you won't be triggering cast on crit in the first place. " Check the 'uses power / frenzy charges' boxes (and any other relevant settings) on the 'Configuration' page of POB. If you're having difficulty generating power charges, consider a charm with '% chance to generate power charge on critical'. " First, cap your cold resistance. I'll also highly recommend grabbing Inveterate to cap your spell suppression chance... and once that's capped, consider picking up Ancestral Vision and a bit more ailment avoidance to cap that too. Or you could get ailment immunity via Purity of Elements. For DPS, I'll recommend starting by crafting critical strike chance on your bow. You should also check your configurations in POB. " Short answer: no. Long answer: having uncapped resistances is extremely dangerous. Having them up most of the time doesn't prevent unlucky one-shots, and you'll be very vulnerable in situations where you have limited flask charge generation (such as when bossing or in maps with reduced flask charge generation). ----- As for my own question: I'm considering swapping away from my current 6L artillery ballista setup, and I'm considering two options: a 6L manaforged arrows setup, or using petrified blood and a few more auras using arrogance. Does anyone have experience with making that swap, and if so, which would you recommend? |
