I think most players just adapted to the state of reward's.
I remember exactly when I started and learned the game, everyone said that rarity does not matter because it does not increase currency drops.
So the best strat was to
Alch and run, because more easy maps with a lot of rares and league mechanic rewards, was more rewarding, then making less hard content(e.g. rolling DMG mods on maps).

I think shifting rewards from
Clear speed and amount of mobs
To difficulty and rarity/quantity bonuses makes sense.
I liked the game how it was, beeing able to farm consistently and have the occasional good drop. I never liked Diablo though, except for the story.

This is just sad that the devs want this to be another game.
Hi guys. IF u think the drop rates are ok they are not , i am running maps and league mechanics no juice only chisels and alch and for week i found 3 exalts 0 divines some chaoses . i cant craft upgrades because u change the benchcraft from exalts to divines , harvest is literary chaos spam and pray . what i see ppl are forced to run heist because in maps they get shit . there is no chance i goin again to door waiting simulator . i dont understand why u just dont revert all the changes and then slowly try do something what is in ur mind . and when u talking about archnemesis mob rewards ye thanks but i dont need 200 whetstones and scraps from one mob
As a casual player who played a good amount of time befor and after the """fix""" of loots,... well it still feels very very bad.

I dont even want to play anymore, dont have the motivation to do maps and maps knowing i will certainly still struggle to get some chaos.

I was hyped by the league...

As a customer right now i feel like i'll only be happy if there is a revert to all those changes.

Hmm, idk how it's possible to be on this much COPIUM, mapping feels like crap due to lack of reward and rares still randomly one shot you off screen...
Great post. Game was fine though. No need to apologize, except maybe for the transparency.

Please don't revert to utter reward chaos. Don't give in to the "WE" redditors.

I can finally feel joy picking up "normal" currency again rather than shoving piles of alchs onto my already existing piles without ever getting the chance to use even a percentile of them before the league ends.

Loot feels better and more significant again. Definitely looking forward to PoE2 with all these game alterations.

P.S. Please nerf Delirium some more, it#s still over the top.

Bingo. It was the archnem conversion culprit. Now if I guess the rest why in the first place we have those quantity bonus was to make sure when we do those content they would at least drop items from that mechanic. I could be just wrong about anything here.

I would introduce a multiplier to league currencies instead of generic quant rare bonus, but I guess its out of the window already so...

Unpopular Opinion I actually think the buff slightly (2/3 times loot drop) overbuffed certain things. I feel like since the buff, I've been getting back many normal-rare equipment that nobody in the community would even pick up, and well over sustaining maps ? It could have been me getting quant bonus on the atlas, or just delusional moment from the patches. We would be going in circle if its actually the case, it will never be closer to less quantity more quality side of things.

These are no sarcastic, I have friend that are anticipating for poe 2, and this is a rare piece of canvas that allow creative minds with various builds and stuff. Just like many, I want this game to be better.

If I may point out the obvious,
'top end party juicer' : want more loots, therefore more rares needed for them, they don't care about harder

'solo juicer' : prolly want more loot explosions, might not want more rares, prolly sign-in to slight harder monsters

'normal gamer' : I think they just want to heard about more loots, and make sure sustaining is guaranteed, don't want hard monster.

'weirdo like me' : I dont care, I pick up rares, prolly just stream of consciousness alch and go all day, its been good for me, monster are kinda hard. My goal is to play hippy build, as long as can I can see myself able to achieve 'end-game' version of that build.

Removing Valley of darkness might have been a little oversight.

That being said certain harvest craft being removed, hmmm...
there will be no way to reforge influenced item now... it would cut of certain
options...

This probably sinks in millions of negative replies but whatever, call me a shill, I hope people over the other side of the game are doing fine prolly just busy, hopefully guys still motivated to work on the game, many improvements to be made, cant wait for melee update.

e: Oh, I respect the PR face to take the shot for the team. But please allow a soft gun bullet here. Testing game is hard, its not like software where you can run through a certain parameter 'testbench' or stub or whatever.
I wouldnt ever disagree, the QA team is working hard to make sure game is working. K look, 3 months a league, within a league theres prolly 50 changes big to small, all the time, and in the backpack theres poe 2.. fuuu I can only imagine the workload.
Therefore, I think a formula has to set, like setting up a game engine, I think the game can use a test engine, by coming up with benchmarks.
Like when you test A subject, what was the environment,
What level tier of gear are we looking at, when you test out the difficulty of monster.
Are you testing a T1 rare monster with 4 mods, with T16 gear, or with campaign gear.... I think u smart people get the picture. But I just feel that you guys might have missed out on that one a little bit.

I love the league and hope you dont give in to reddit, the change are good. The game needs these changes to make the leagues last longer active.
