What Happened with Items

It occurs to me that 'taking responsibility' kinda doesnt mean anything unless there's some actual consequences for you personally, or restitution to those upset, or something. I mean, it still has some value from an organizational perspective (if that's what you actually did; it wouldn't be the first time a corporation said one thing to the public and another internally). But it can came across as kind of empty to take responsibility without actually doing any accountability.
You sold supp pack to us and then.......
way to much hate going on. we might not agree on everything, but we can keep it respectful at least. there are other games to play if you really hate the new direction

I genuinely believe that this will never work due to the fact that PoE is an online game. There's lag, packet loss, and other forms of jitter... PoE simply cannot rely on players' mechanical skills and ms-level reaction times to this extent and ignore this reality.

This is absolutely true. I have over 600 hours in this game. I only just finished the campaign for the first time last league, using a minion build because lag issues meant it was the only way I could ever survive harder content. Plus my generally poor twitch skills mean I will never be able beat everything on pure skill even without the constant lag spikes that plague me. Rewarding twitch skill is good, making twitch skill the only valid skill, and removing build skill and system mastery as paths forward is not a good plan.

I used a similar build (Absolution/Arcane Conduit) to quickly finish the campaign with my first character this league btw, and hit a wall of death in maps, because I simply hadn't found enough loot to overcap my res by enough.

Welp... this will no longer be my main game in the future. It's been a good run.

I appreciate your candor and communication. As a software developer myself I'm constantly amazed at GGGs ability to test so many layers of systems for balance. Ship happens though.

The problem is people have a 2.5 bad to 1 good ratio on average, so this level of negative has an impact on what you can recover from. I don't envy you! :)

Some think the Grinding in GGG is for the players, but I wonder if it is really for your staff. Thanks for what you do. Cheers.
Thank you!
I do not want loot goblins like Diablo 3. That is a horrible gameplay mechanic.

For players who are juicing their content to extreme levels with six-person parties, dedicated MF cullers and stacked league mechanics, they no longer have Beyond to push things over the edge. But they still find ridiculous amounts of stuff. I have seen parties in this league get multiple mirrors per day, or find over 50 Divine Orbs from a single monster.

I'll more than likely never experience this because I tend to fall under this category...

For regular players who are just alching their maps and adding difficulty where they feel they can handle it, we think that drops are in a pretty good place after this week's changes. They should have been like this at release, and I am deeply sorry that they were not.

I don't believe this one bit. Regular players like me are the ones who are most affected by this change. We most likely will never experience a loot pinata of "50 divine orbs" from a single monster. I do not think drops are in a good place for us. They are only balancing the game around the top juicers while the regulars suffer like usual. This feels like a Blizzard move.
