[3.25] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

We heard of any big changes for 3.22 yet? I'm guessing Trickster version will still be the go to for now?

There doesn't seem to be any changes. None of the support gems seems to have an impact. There could be something with the tattoos, but it would have to be quite big to warrant losing some attributes. There also could be one of the unnanounced uniques, but it would be very surprising if it had any substantial effect on the build.

So we're almost definitely staying Trickster.
Just remember guys, this build lost about 25% damage on 3.21 due to passive tree and mastery changes! On 3.21 this was not a problem because we had staffs like this one:

On 3.22 we will have a little trouble while not on mid-high / high budget setup, so be aware!

If you progress slowly or is a casual player, be aware... to make the build feel confortable, things wont be easy!

btw, i think trickster continues better and cheapest to build WI.

most of us never had a chance to get one of those nor will ever be able too so they would have been nice if the market didn't go so high so fast as to make it impossible to get
poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead
Not sure we lost so much damage. Isn't 3.21 when we swapped to crit version? It's still super powerful on a budget.

Incidentally, I was looking at Blood Rage for Frenzy charge generation while mapping. That could be 12% more damage, but it comes at the price of 4% lost ES per second. It's not a problem with overleech, as long as you're killing stuff.

I'd put it in the place of Culling Strike on the chest armour. Thoughts?
Hey guys! I'm back for the new league.

3.21 was such a meme that I lost interest after 2 weeks - everything was WAY too easy. The crafting was completely OP, now it's gone as I predicted. How powerful was it? PoB added support for all that Crucible stuff (only to be never used again! LOL). Simply removing the Crucible tree from my staff reduces my damage by 70%.

Now we are back to the "normal" build. But it's still crit, so it's still more powerful than in 3.19-20. And there is new stuff in 3.22 that should provide another temporary source of extra power. None of the tattoos revealed so far look useful to us, but I'm sure there are many more that we haven't seen yet.

Without having to read through the 100+ pages of posts while I was absent, was there anything important that could improve the build? Other than the Crucible stuff, of course?

I remember ending up with a slightly different tree than I made for 3.21 based on PoB numbers with the actual items I got. But it was just some high end tweaks.

Going to pre-update everything for 3.22 before the league starts. There are no buffs of nerfs that concern this build in the patch notes. None of the new supports do anything for us either.
I've taken a look at the revamped Guardian. The main draw is, of course, full ES regen every 4 sec (Zealot's Oath works with it). Other Guardian ascendancy nodes are OK but nothing spectacular. Forbidden Flesh/Flame lets you add something cool from Hierophant or Inquisitor for even more tankiness or some damage.

The results in PoB look kinda interesting for farming some of the uber bosses - not having to worry about damage over time while Uber Sirus/Eater/Exarch/Lycia is invulnerable. But the damage is pretty sad. About half of the Tricker's damage, at best. Doesn't seem to be worth it, at least in SC. HC fans could probably try it. Maybe a non-crit version as well. I might take another look just because it's something new.
Wow, the wording of Zealot's Oath is super confusing when applied to Time of Need. I do think that 3 seconds without regen is problematic though (regen is over 1 second every four seconds). With our current sources of leech, we already get 30% of ES per second, so that's 120% over four seconds and it works more regularly. I'm not sure we need even more regen.

The rest of the ascendancy seems... underwhelming. Radiant Faith can be good, but not as much as a Trickster node. Unwavering Faith also gives 20-25% life/ES regen rate (does it double dip with Zealot's Oath?), but we don't really need more regen. Bastion of hope would give us +25% chance to block, that's a good upgrade, but 40% less damage half the time or overleech doesn't seem worth losing for that.

What do you think about Blood Rage? It seems like it could be an interesting way to get max frenzy charges while clearing maps, so usually 12% more damage.

The new support gems don't seem very useful for the build, unfortunately.

Just my take, but i don't really think we need more dmg for map clearing. For bosses sure, but hard to get any frenzies on bosses with bloodrage aint it. That's the one that gives frezy on kill for the duration that also damages you over time right?

It's one of the optional things to do with an empty socket. 12% more damage for mapping. The charges will still be up for most map bosses too.

Useless for most endgame bosses, of course. Uber Elder is the only one with adds.
