Something I thought that might make this build annoying to play this league: you need to wield the weapon/shield that you want to do crucible on. If we need to equip said item before interacting with the league mechanic, that will make it really awkward. Thoughts?

Yes if you want to level up a rare weapon in off hand for crucible then you have to essence it and level it up
This problem is for all builds, except here you have to essence it
i don't know how the league mechanic works, so I am speculating

Change this option to Lockstep
Go to main menu and change this, this is very important
Without this option, the loop will miss casts and slow down, less dps
How The Build Works
When you take 3580 damage, Level 21 CWDT gem will cast all the spell gems linked to it.
Our goal is to take 3580 damage every second and not die.
Expedition items have Ward. Ward will absorb the damage done to you
If you have 1500 ward, and a monster hits you for 2000, only 500 damage will go to life and your ward will disappear, it breaks. Ward will be recharged after 5 seconds
Olroth's flask
When this flask is on, your ward will not break/disappear
The goal is to permanently have Olroth's flask effect

So we want to have Olroth's permanently on, to do this we use Brutal Restraint The Traitor
Using the traitor keystone and 2 cluster jewels which give us high flask duration, we can get permanent Olroth's effect
The traitor keystone works when you have 2 empty flask slots, means you can only use 3 flasks.
You can use 4 flasks at high budget, but we need at least 1 empty flask slot
Heartbound loop ring explained
We Summon Skeletons, and when a skeleton dies, the ring will do 420 damage to you.
This damage will be absorbed by Ward
Forbidden Rite is a skill that will deal damage to you on cast
If you cast Forbidden Rite 4 times, you will die by suicide, it does a lot of damage
But as long as your ward is more than Forbidden Rite self-damage, you will take no hit to life pool. Ward will absorb the damage.
Skeletons last for 2 seconds, this is not useful.
We use To Dust and Anomalous Minion Speed to reduce skeleton duration.
Skeletons die every 0.2 seconds and trigger CWDT gem.
We cast spells every 0.2 seconds! This is about 5 casts per second.
Once you buy this, make it 26% or 28% quality with Hillock from T4 Research Betrayal
You can do this yourself or buy this craft from TFT Services channel
If you cannot afford 28% quality on this flask, then its not a problem
Make flask 20% quality and use Replenishing Remedies Amulet Anointment
Buy this and put it in your tree and check all affected notables.
Make sure your Jewel does not grant you Alchemist's Genius buff, this buff will reduce your ward and stop the loop.
Its pretty rare, if you have it, simply buy a new one.
Jewels, Resistance
This will help you cap resistance, you can get % life and also cold damage or ele damage.
2R-2G-2B is best for budget
2R-1G-3B is good for endgame crit capped.

Boots are the same for all builds, only resistances
If you are extreme budget stop after you get 350 plus ward, just craft resistance in suffix
Phase 1 - Prefix
Dense fossil till you have more than 400 ward, some times more than 430 ward
Check if you have have a high movement speed mod, if yes, then your phase 1 is complete
If you don't have movement, annul a prefix and then make sure ward is more than 370
Repeat above still till you get open prefix or 30% movement speed prefix with more than 370 ward
Craft Movement speed from the bench
Phase 2 - Suffix
Now apply a lesser eldritch ember and a greater eldritch ichor
Now slam with eldritch exalts
If you get low tier mods, eldritch annul them
If all three suffixes are horrible, then use Eldritch chaos
Repeat the process till you got good resistance rolls in the suffix
Summon skeleton level 11 - Minion speed x/20 - Forbidden rite 1 - Cast When Damage taken 5
The levels of these gems should be fixed, do not level it up
CWDT must be 5, skeleton must be fixed at 11
Don't change these in the helm, or else you need to do math
Anomalous summon skeleton is required, because the skeleton should die because of reduced duration and not because of enemy damage or the loop will go out of sync and stop.
Gem links
Awakened Elemental focus is not recommend, it will disable freeze from Ice Spear.
You can use any gem link that you can get your hands on.
Also don't link CWDT gem to Righteous fire, flame dash or phase run
Make gloves 3-link and use Righteous fire in gloves
Or use RF 21 in gloves, that way CWDT 20 won't tirgger RF
Helm and glove Implicits
See POB please, just spam greater ichor and lesser ember till you get it
Gloves - Cold exposure with Greater ichor, and lesser ember for unnerve
Helmet - Spell damage with ichor and ember for lightning damage.
Life And Chaos Resistance Calculator
In 3.20 Survival Secrets got removed, because of this we can only get maximum of 1374 ward.
But most budget builds can get only 1150 ward, mid-tier 1250, top-tier 1300
This budget setup uses Forbidden Rite to keep the loop going.
Forbidden Rite does a lot of damage.
Since we use Normal CWDT, and skeletons only 2560 damage. We need Forbidden Rite to deal the rest of 1060 damage.
2520 + 1,060 = 3580
3580 damage is required for Level 21 CWDT Normal quality gem to trigger.
We need to make sure we have more than 1060 ward and also that Forbidden rite only does 1061 damage but less than 1100.
If you have 1200 ward, then great.
To reduce forbidden rite damage, we will crafting chaos resistance on items, or use tree/jewels.
Use this calculator to balance your life pool and chaos resistance.
The more life you have, the more chaos resistance you will need. Otherwise you kill yourself.
If you have 3k life and -60 chaos, you will die by suicide.
To stop remove belt and put it back on

Reason for loop not working
1. Did you forget to craft Cooldown recovery rate on your belt?
2. Check your "To Dust" total skeleton duration reduction for 9% cdr
3 jewels should be 34% total with using Window of Opportunity in passive tree
4 jewels should be 59% total without Window of Opportunity in the tree.
For 27 CDR, total To Dust must be 34 and Window of Opportunity passive + less duration mastery
2. Check all points are allocated in two medium flask cluster, both must be 6 passive clusters
3. Compare your medium cluster with the ones in guide & POBs
4. Check your tree for Essence extraction and Utility flask mastery
5. Make sure you did not accidentally equip 4th flask or 5th flask
6. Make sure Traitor keystone is allocated in the passive tree with Balbala Timeless Jewel
7. Check if Pathfinder ascendancy is allocated
8. Olroth's flask enchant should be "Reused at end of flask effect"

Change anoint to Whispers of Doom and use frostbite curse
You could remove Increased duration, Phase Run or Sigil
If you don't find Sigil of Power useful, just remove that.

Some examples that have worked for 4 flasks. Assuming Olroth's 56 charges used and 6.4 seconds duration and also belt with 19/20 reduced flask charges used.

71% duration and 95% charges gained

101% duration and 59% charges gained
Easy way to get this is as follows
Replace both your old clusters with this

And buy level 84 clusters and start spamming, augment and regal till you get
Don't pay 10 divines, craft them yourself. It will take about 1-2 hrs.
You can also get flask duration on rare jewels now, its easier than ever to get 4 flasks.
And get 10% flask charges gained on Timeless jewel. These are easy to come by

bottom line: sabo is most likely better than scion, if you can solve the double mana cost. Good luck with that!
I have a few ideas to make that work, some are even close to sane... Guess we will see when I switch to that.
Basic disclaimer: unless you know what you are doing, and can troubleshoot on the fly, I don´t recommend starting sabo, scion is "solved" and much safer choice.

I had to remove a flask to keep sustain. Seems like only 3 flasks work now. Am I missing something>? without the flask utility mastery node it seems screwed. You're the best btw thank you!
4 flasks on scion (or PF) / 3 flasks on everything else will still be easy, but running it with just 1 flask cluster would take reworking the tree, and might not be worth it.
2 BiS flask clusters in 3.20 were almost good enough to run 5 flasks without sanctum relic, 4 flasks post nerf are nothing compared to that:)
So I have both cluster jewels with 6 passives, level 97 tree. a traitor keystone jewel that also has 2 added 10% increased flask charges gained on my tree. And The only way I was able to sustain the ward flask was to change my amulet anointment to druidic rite. Is there something I'm missing?
