The balance team and chris being out of touch with their game isn't the only reason why this game is going downhill.
The community is more toxic than ever, more so than the community of eve online. Alot of people i play with in standard are chill, but this? I can't imagine what goes through your head that you gain joy from sending me those pms, does it make you feel powerful or that you received some kind of twisted justice? Does it statisfy your jealousy?

I care. I love builds making them and everyone has their favorite go-to build for when they're done trying something new. Mine was Arakaali's Fang summoner but this league they jumped like 4-5 exalts. Last league they were 15c after the first 6 weeks... But currently they're 1ex at the very end of this league, so I couldn't do my favorite build.

I'm sorry aura stacker was nerfed and I hope he finds another way to enjoy the game next league

The Reduced Reservation stat provides very little benefit at low values, but becomes very powerful when heavily invested in.

Not a problem, it's fair -> high invest -> more power.

Solution:
Replace "Reservation Reduction" with "Reservation Efficiency". When stacked, Reservation Efficiency does not allow for infinite Auras.

Another dead builds -> less builds
You have a lot of trash skills, why you touch good builds? Add some alternative to this build not cut off it.

Characters specialised in maximising the power of auras provide an absolutely insane amount of damage and defence to party members, making a party with an aura-specialised character so much more effective than one without.

Characters specialised in maximising the number and power of Curses provide far too much damage and defence to party members, making a party with a Curse-specialised character so much more effective than one without.

This is party content. Isn't problem. Party always effective this is nature law. GGG isn't one human.

Solution:
Remove sources of Aura Effect from Cluster Jewels and move the Aura Cluster Jewels type to Small Cluster Jewels, so it is no longer possible to continuously stack Aura Effect for your party. Introduce a new Cluster Jewel Notable to increase the "Effect of your Auras on You" for builds that are building Auras for their own power.

Dead party with 2 ppl, but not >2.

Problem:
The Elemental Damage over Time effects of Cold Damage over Time, Burning and Ignite are too dependent on Elemental Overload and Elemental Equilibrium. Ignites are too dependent on Ignite Damage Multipliers on skills, making skills without Ignite Multipliers too weak to use Ignite with.

Solution:
Greatly improve the base strength of Ignite, Burning and Cold Damage over Time, while making Elemental Overload and Elemental Equilibrium less powerful or require more investment with Damage over Time skills. Rebalance skills that could apply Ignite effects around the new base damage of Ignite and remove the Ignite Damage multipliers.

Elemental dots are trash, good idea.

Ignite builds don't have a way to focus their damage on bosses, forcing balance to be the same for clear speed damage and boss damage.

Solution:
Change Flame Surge and introduce a new attack-based mechanic to be able to deal much more Burning damage to a targeted enemy.

Not only ignite builds have problems with focus.

Total:
A big part of "problems" aren't problems. Chris says what he want to change party play, but they just killed it for 2 players and make it more difficult(for a little) for >2p. You making auras like solo player buff, but we already heralds. Do you even play PoE?
Solid changes for auras and curses.Lets be honest and not whine about muh build is ruined.We all know aurabots and multiple curses break the game if reach a certain point and the changes are not for the 1% but for the others.

Ignite and dot spells felt always weak especially ignite even with big investments.Though i like the changes they are way to basic and will need another buff down the road.

Same goes to general dot be it bleed or poison.The dot needs a revamp that is meaningful and accessible to all characters and not behind ascendances.

For example:
Cold damage -> always chills (effects varies from enemy rank,passive nodes and damage dealt)-> cold damage over time upon reaching certain threshold freezes chilled enemies(enemy can only be frozen with dot)(threshold can be lowered with nodes duration can be altered with nodes also) in addition to that melee attacks or projectiles shatter frozen enemies dealing extra cold damage.

As you can see a fluent interaction that makes both logical sense and gameplay wise.

fire damage->ignites enemies(rank1 1st degree burn)->taking certain dot (rank 2 second degree)dot applies faster and spreads to nearby enemies->reaching another threshold with dot(rank 3)getting attack by fire damage applies x ticks of dot instantly and creates burning ground under enemy.

Fire dot will exponentially increase while offering many secondary effects.Certain skill will be able to proc burns easier and nodes can increase speed,damage and evolution of effects.

For bleed its quite simple to elevate its effect.
Bleed can stack and when x stacks are reached the enemy wounds opens dealing high physical damage.Damage is increased based on stacks.Nodes can help with stacks and damage.

For poison keep the stacking as is but also give a new effect when certain threshold is reached enemy poison evolves to toxin dealing % health damage as chaos.This will help even vs the toughest enemies.
Nodes will work around duration for toxin and threshold to reach.

You knwo why peoples hated that build? becouse becouse of it we cant have nice thinks - they cannot buff any aura becouse aura stacker we get fantastic alt quality auras from heist and aura stacker and aura bots got it demolished to groud now they are unusable so yes im realy happy build got nerfed and in the same time im not happy it got removed from game but its gonna make game better overall while destroing build of 0.000000001% of players

These balance announcements have had good and bad changes. The only real problem i have with all three of these is there's a significant amount of content that has simply been deleted since this whole nerf vendetta started. Despite all this, floor loot being absolute garbage hasn't been addressed, chase items are still removed and lost in the fog, there are probably another 50 shard types to pick up next league, and a host of other problems that turn the game from challenging to a boring second job that i have no desire to do anymore on top of real life. I'll check back around POE 2 and see if anything people actually want has been addressed but who knows. I'm not optimistic. After 10 years of changes this all just somehow feels worse than it's ever been.
