i hate aurabots/aurastackers btw i dont play them but i dont care about other players if they having fun with their builds

I have to ask: You realize that this cycle is going on for a long-time and is the sole reason the game is still going? This cycle is the reason that people come back to PoE every 3 months but do not so (or in much smaller numbers) for D3 - or a multitude of other multiplayer-titles that have been developed in the last 10 years and have already been disbanded again because it simply is not feasible to keep everything in the game the same as it was at the start while keeping it fresh. That does not work, it never will.

Also: This is by far not the first and won't be the last "core character mechanic" change.

You have to cast your main spell enough in 8 seconds to trigger it, that means you have to crit once. Given 2 casts per second (which I think it a really fair point and most builds should have more) that means 16 casts to crit once. That requires a 6.25% crit-chance on average. Of course I know, average is not reliable and with just 6.25% (which is close to or even below what most spells have as a base-chance) you will have phases without crits. But that still means you just need moderate investment to keep it up most of the time.

What really got hurt is Controlled Destruction. I really don't see a reason with most skills to use that, it's basically relegated to be used with Ignite (maybe, quite a bit crit-ignite stuff on the tree now) or Cold-Dot.

if you check the market you will see 2 types who control the market

1. actual bots
2. flippers


No EE or EO is sad :( hope the dmg buffs justify that...

If EO stays at 40 % more, CD is still better with 44 %. I think it boils down to either use your sixth socket for CD or invest passives/affixes into some crit.

But I agree with you that getting some kind of crit is more efficient, but for builds who dont have access to EO (I cant think of any build here except physical spells) it might still be worthwhile.

But yes, league mechanics with many chests and mechanic specific currency dropping in huge seperate numbers is not the way to go. But Chris agrees with this.


My interest in things never lasts long, but is intense. So I play a fuckton when the league starts and then generally quit three or four weeks in. I tried playing less at start and just spread it over a longer period of time, but it doesn't work. I just quit after three or four weeks, no matter the league, no matter the playstyle.

Noone is jelaous of Aurabots. NOONE.

The reason people want them nerfed is because this game is focussed HEAVILY on trade. Its basicly more of a "wallstreet simulator" now than it is an arpg.
Aurabots were so bonkers to the point groups were farming The Feared in day 2 of the league ( hardest content available , with the highest returns ).

The market was spammed with feared drops ( shaper bases , synthesized items , elder bases / watcher's eye , bottled faith etc) and made mirrors for the partys abusing it. Its like if you put your money into some apple stock and then 5 billionaires come over and tell everyone that the market is closed for everyone except for them for 10 days while they can trade all they want. After 10 days your apple stock is suddenly worth 1/4 of what you invested , because a lot of people invested in apple stock and the 5 billionaires shorted the shit out of it.

If Aurabots wouldnt triviliaze content to the point where no matter how fast you are solo , you will NEVER be faster than 1 cursebot + 1 aurabot + 3 people with MF gear , noone would demand any kind of nerf.

I personally would like to feel that my time invested into the game is actually worth something. There should be no point in the game where content "it not worth it" except as a party , simply because you will LOSE money in doing it ( 3.14 feared rotas , where you actually lost money with each feared EXCEPT if you did it as a party and got 6x the returns of a solo player )
