Bit sad about the Memory Vault change, will miss that helm. That said new determination change should band aid it up for most people outside some guardian builds.

At least they kept Stubborn Student alive.

We need to invest 24k+ armour / 24k+ evasion for map tiers 16, lol.

If you invest skill points into all of this "buffs" good for you..

But don't forget that no matter how much defense in path of exile you have.. the game is designed to kill you in unfair ways regardless at least in solo play.

This isnt really buffing anything they are giving players options that look good in papper but the price is ludicrous as skill points are more valuable than items.

People praising this seems didnt really think about it and they are rushing to catch the train..

If you have enough armour and block the only thing that should kill you unfairly are poorly visible corpse explosions or synthesis boss teleporting you into atziri.

We're experimenting with a system that lets Fortify be applied based on Melee Damage dealt, so that tiny little Melee Damage Hits don't provide a full strength Fortify. This will mean that we'll be able to introduce a Chance to gain Fortify on Hit on Passive Skills or items, which we've avoided in the past, but we're working to avoid a system where every spellcaster wants to run Shield Charge to get Fortify at little cost. Our eventual goal here is that all Melee characters keep Fortify up reliably without a huge cost, while spellcasters and ranged characters won't have access to the mechanic without significant investment (or being a Champion).


You took block away from Gladiator, so why does Champion get to keep "has fortify"?

This aside, basing fortify on melee hit damage, how will fortify be usable for melee DOT builds where the hit damage is irrelevant and not scaled?

Also, what about Deadly Ailments support that reduces hit damage by 80% less?

Somehow this feels like a huge nerf to pure evasion based builds rather than buff, melee specificly.

So I had a lightning strike jugg this league, I gave up +1 curse on my chest piece to have t1 flat & crafted %evasion. Running grace, jade flask with evasion suff, and stibnite, some other evasion based gears without evasion mods, some evasion investment on the tree, I would only have around 12k evasion, with the wind dancer evasion penalty. 4 endurance charge, dodge from Hinekora + acro + phase acro + elusive from nightblade, blind with evil eye, unbreakable from jugg, high level of steelskin, fortify, overleech from petrified blood + vaal pact, 4.9k life. Even with all these I would still get demolished by t16 mobs very often, like 1-2times every few maps, which made me have to drop my stibnite for savage hit on use replica rumi's concoction.

With the removal of dodge, more investment required spell suppression, nerf to blind, and more damage taken from wind dancer, Im not sure if it would feel great anymore with evasion builds, even if we get the 50% more evasion buff and small increment to base type.

I was running petrified blood tho, and map might have some damage mods which might be causing the issue, but still.

Also I've heard evasion was sudo-random instead just randomly rolled, without dodge idk. I guess its only able to tell when 3.16 goes live then, hope its gonna feels great

they are gonna be expensive when the added 50% more corrupted mods. 10 / 880 vaaled jewels if the weights remain constant.
Well, it kinda ruined the mediocre builds i prepared for next league /blindly/, But i like those changes!
Only bad: what about Fortify for Steel skills users ? Also how Fortify effect calcs - for example a SST char will have to use an extra melee dmg setup if wants to use Fortify at better effect ?! Some of us are fans to Dash/Flame Dash...ehh.
