What I think will have the greatest impact on the skill is how the charges are deducted.

If I have five sapphire flasks and use the skill once, will each flask lose three charges for a single instance of bonus damage or will it apply the bonus five times?

Will it deduct three charges from the first flask and drain the flasks one by one or will it pull three from the first, then three from the second, and so on in order?

If it does it the second way shaving three off the top, then you could get five casts per three seconds while keeping the flask regen going, versus slowly working through a flask 'ammo' pool.

It will cost 3 charges from just 1 flask of each type.
i.e = if u have 5 saphire flasks, it will spend only 3 charges of only 1 flask.
But if u have the three valid types, it will spend 3 charges of only 1 flask of each type, making the skill to have all the damage bonuses at once.

Mostly Thinking in a setup like:

Sapphire Flask 1: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

Will it work like:

Cast 1 -
Sapphire Flask 1: 57 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

Cast 2 -
Sapphire Flask 1: 54 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

Cast 3 -
Sapphire Flask 1: 51 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

Flask Regen triggers:
Sapphire Flask 1: 54 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

\\\\\\

Or:

Cast 1 -
Sapphire Flask 1: 57 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

Cast 2 -
Sapphire Flask 1: 57 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 57 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

Cast 3 -
Sapphire Flask 1: 57 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 57 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 57 charges

Flask Regen triggers:
Sapphire Flask 1: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 2: 60 charges
Sapphire Flask 3: 60 charges

I think it will follow the order of the flasks 1>2>3>4>5, spending charges from the 2° flask only when the 1° is deppleted.
The first option in that case.

If it's the first option, three of a single element might be better for non-pathfinders for dps between add phases, and pathfinders would get more benefit out of mixed elements.

The reason you would want to go all cold would be for the bonus +39% fire damage on top of the 50% cold to fire conversion from frostferno.

How are we going to make trinity work for this skill? Wrath? Hatred?
Also will ignite from hrimburn synergize with "30% more damage with ignite" provided charges were consumed from ruby flask?

Pathfinder running evasion and blind as defences.

Interesting to see how Sniper's Mark interacts since it may replace chain.

Skill Gems are mostly quick ideas.
so not the best at builds but what about
scion with inquisitor and chieftain ascendancies and use new earth breaker and consecrated ground skill in combination?
or even just holy flame maybe

thinking more about fire damage

i know its not ranger but just thinking out loud.

While we're thinking out loud: what if you try to stack attributes while using something like Hyrri's Demise? That + the three flasks should give enough elemental damage to keep Trinity support stacks high. Add on The Taming ring for the bonuses for shock + ignite + chill and I feel like damage shouldn't be too terrible.
If going crit, Master Surgeon "Gain a flask charge when you deal a critical strike" should be more than enought.
I'm not sure about Pathfinder or Ranger in general. The Pathfinder bonuses don't seem THAT amazing and we don't know, how they work with the new skills. Is it really 20% less charges used?
And the other ascendancies are risky, because they're mostly about attack speed which will burn flask charges fast.

Personally I'm thinking about Elementalist for slower, but big hits.

Going to work with the raider build somene posted on page 5. That's close to what I designed. I like it.
