So they try to tone down some of the power creep to make power spikes feel more rewarding and special, and making these power spikes harder to obtain. So they will keep scaling down the power creep until it gets to a point where player retention is actually suffering because of nerfs. If people keep playing then they will keep nerfing. Backlash on these forums and Reddit mean nothing as long as the players keep playing. As for nerfs to major crafting mechanics, they happen because of TFT. That Discord is a literal cancer to PoE and a reason why we can't have nice crafting things. |

GGG can you please add the following QOL to harvest add a single crafting bench in the middle of the grove so i dont have to craft at each plot.

I've always found GGG's approach to "fixing" things to be pretty obtuse (balancing the game to cater to its entire playerbase instead of just the premium-paying minority requires a bit of creativity for sure). Casual players comprise 80-90% of the player base, they are also infinitely less active on the forums, as we don't have the day time to live there and actively voice and defend our opinions about every single game change. As the result, I think GGG has a skewed perception of how the majority feels. End game content is already pretty much inaccessible to those who cant invest absurd amounts of time into playing (most of normal people have jobs, families and other stuff to do in our short lives). So all that insane nurfs like this achieve is destroy 90% of casual builds while providing new challenges to the bored vocal minority who lives inside the game and will find ways to one-shot everything regardless of the changes. The game is turning into a private streamer-appeasing club. If that's GGG's goal, that's fine, but I don't see how that can make sense for the company financially. Guess they can always plug up the financial holes with more absurdly priced, shitty quality micro-transactions that provide less and less value for the money with every league. Its been a year since I last played, and after logging in to see the changes, I have zero interest to ever return (with my limited playtime, there is literally no point). Hopefully, by the time POE2 comes out, GGG would learn to be a bit more sensible and creative, and cater to the entirety of its playerbase...the game desperately needs to find some balance between continuous change and stability. Wow, first time I hit 40 challenges and Chris decides to delete the game. Sorry guys. I'll still try the league but I'm pretty sure making the game unfun is not gonna help "player retention" whatever the fuck that means in GGG's vocabulary.

Found out diablo 3 has a patch out literally the day before this that adds to the game instead of nerfing it.
Guess ill play that until d2r and never look at poe again, [Removed By Support] Literally the best way to play this game is to get the most damage you can and kill things before they kill you, this is what ggg seems to take issue with but this patch enforces that play style, defence is more useless than before so the few people that don't quit will go MORE glass cannon. No its reduced for smaller people like me that can only dream of those top tier damage items. Im really hoping u know what u are doing GGG Why is archmage lightning damage only?
