Hello.
Before i was unwilling to play channelling skills but with this ripy legue mechanics i wanted to try something tanky with good clear.
I must say i am amazed how much survivability this build got.
That said single target is a bit lacking.

My investment was arroud 13 ex now.

I am wondering if someone could check my gear?!
I need advice what to get next!

In addition to what PapaiNico suggested (which is 100% the first thing you should do) getting 20/20 gems and a skin of the loyal will also boost your dps as well but can be a challenge to juggle your resists especially when you swap to surrender over aegis. a med cluster like suggested in the guide is another boost but those are rather expensive right now thanks to ignite being decently meta.
First thank you very much for sharing this build. It is by far one of the strongest build I've played so far. I mean with my current setup I'm able to do ultimatums in t14 t15 deathless and it feels soo good playing it.

as a dot build I know it's not the fastest but as I said at clearing it's very smooth and quite fast but when it comes to bosses I feel I'm missing damage.

There is a part that I do not fully understand because honestly, I am still learning this game.

You mentioned in your first post that you scale damage by converting physical damage to lightning. is that something that I must focus on if I want to improve my actual setup?

Edit. i do have ignite proliferation for clearing. but even if i switch it still very very slow.

Once again thank you for sharing this amazing build.

I suppose until I have Elemential Equilibrium on Scepter/Chest then I should not get the glorius vanity jewel? Because it seems to over wright the EE on the tree.

EDIT: Nevermind. I'll just put GV to the south. Doh XD

Your setup is already very good, but there are a few upgrades you can still do. The most obvious is to have your boots enchanted with "lightning damage when you have not killed recently". This is a really solid dps boost against bosses. The second thing is to add flammability curse. You have 5 second window to cast curses, so do not be afraid to cast it manually (BTW - use infernal warcry as well). It takes some time to learn it, but it is noticeable. You already have a very nice pair of gloves with faster casting, so put scorching ray link there, which will save you one gem slot, so you do not sacrifice anything. Other thing is to change the watcher's eye to DoT multi malevolence one. The current one does not give you any bonus, and can be as well replaced with rare jewel. Finally, add quality to infused channeling, and possibly look for 20/23 one.

Good luck!

Also just FYI. Make sure you check POB for your numbers. At levels 5 and 20, Awakened Unbound Ailments is only more damage than Ignite Proliferation when it's 20%. Because of the fire dot multi on quality.

one thing to keep in mind is the duration of the ignite as well. to use my own character as an example a 20/20 ignite prolif gives me +41% ignite and total damage but 20/20 unbound ailments gives me +35% ignite and +100% total damage because the ignite lasts longer on the target. this means that you can hit the boss once and run around dodging skills longer (3.91 duration vs 5.88s duration). this build isn't insta-phasing anything so playing it a bit slower and safer is generally better i think.

I second this. I preferred to stay on the safer side with this build even if it means a little lower damage. Anyway, I would only swap the gems for uber bosses like Maven, Sirus, etc. For regular mapping, I would not bother with gem swaps.

Thanks for an amazing build and a superb guide! Having a lot of fun with it so far. I have a few amateurish questions:

1. Is Doryani's Catalyst used for the combination of ele dmg and attack dmg (via battlemage)? Or am I missing something?

2. While channeling Divine Ire, if I hit an enemy with the "tendrils", I assume that grants lightning resistance via EE? This lowers the beam damage and therefore the resulting ignite, right? So it is correct to try to keep my distance before beaming?

Thanks again!

Correct. Doryani's Catalyst gives a lot of flat phys damage to spells via battlemage and on top of that it gives increased elemental damage, life leech and some speed. Even the crit chance is nice for triggering Elemental Overload. It is really hard (expensive) to replace it for this build.

Very good question! The short answer is: no need to keep distance (rather contrary) for best DPS. Longer answer: ignite damage is first calculated based on 50% of "base damage", which is the damage without any multipliers including modifiers from resistance (rather not intuitive). Once calculated, a fire resistance is taken into account together with DoT/fire multi and burning damage modifiers. Thus, while the tendrils do trigger EE, they do not alter the base damage that ignites, which is later modified by fire resistance and not the lightning one. Check https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Ignite for more detailed info.

That's great news! I can't believe I missed that when I checked the wiki. :P

Anyway, thanks a lot for the answers. Hope you'll make a guide for next league, too!

I will keep that one up to date, but for the next league, I would like to make some interesting tanky raider. I hope they will rework a few things as currently one of the best raiders is BF/BB mana stacker, which is a little ridiculous...
