Development Manifesto: Harvest Crafting

Your philosophy huh? So you give us something against your philosophy, then blame us for making the best of it.... trash, no more mtx for you. Not because of harvest, but because your hypocrites who fence straddle and it is repulsive. You literally made the game worth playing, then you made it trash....again. Congratulations to a team of idiots. I hope you enjoy how many people don't play more than 2 weeks a league.

The rage in this thread is too damn high!
Good riddance to the extra easy mirror tier, multi influenced rares that made the game feel effortless.
Harvest will still have specific exalts, it just won't have endless specific rerolls. It will still be the strongest crafting option in the game, it just won't be a no brainer.
Time to put those fingers to use people, 200 million dps shit will not be available to you anymore, you'll have to settle with just tens of millions.
[/sarcasm]
This? THIS is GGG's most impending concern about the game? Ordinary players getting equipments that they want? Really?

And to what end? Just so u could make us play ur leagues longer?

Do u People actually play the game? Have u ever used exalt on items? It's almost always stupid things to use exalt on items for urself unless you are trying to make mirror serviceable gear.

Incredible. Guys, only way to "fight" this is not buying packs. Don't even play the coming leagues.
harvest craft is the best thing that ever happened to game . if you want to solve problems, solve the performance issues first.

The Heart of the Grove change is the only worthwhile change you are making here.

Random exalt slamming is a thing fools do, it is not how people craft gear. And most people don't craft gear at all.

Harvest was a chance for normal people to try and craft some pieces, a good thing with few bad outcomes as long as you knew mod tags and such.

With this change, you won't get people closing their eyes and exalt slamming. Top end players will still be using harvest to make insane gear. People who want easy currency or to scam people will still use random discords to sell crafts or steal items.

Why not make a decent change and allow a purchasable orb (like with einhar) to store harvest crafts so they can be traded securely?

Then at least something decent would come from this.
Is there a correlation between player retention and giving average players
ability to craft decent items ?

This is what boggles the mind, because build diversity and player retention this league seems much better.

You managed to identify that the ability for the community at large to pool their harvests together and sell them; effectively giving any player with currency and the risk tolerance to hand over his item to a stranger access to nearly unlimited harvests was the issue. You then failed to do absolutely anything about it.

I personally dont care about nerfs to this system, but this quote pretty much sums up GGG mentality, amazing really. Reminds me of how aura stacking was an issue, so instead of addressing RMR and aura effect, they gut individual auras.

Amazing really
Totally agree to any policy that would reduce abusive game behaviors.

You know... if this is about the sheer disaster of TFT trading, and how broken that is, then why not network everyone's horticrafting stations, and let the crafts trade from station to station just like a regular trade? You could even put a harvest button on the trade interface, to bring your station up to select crafts. You could swap crafts for other crafts, or sell them for currency.

Breaking the harvest crafting system fundamentally, making it a sheer waste of time, is NOT the answer to the problem. Doing that will just create more, bigger problems, like a drastic drop in player base and income for the developers.

...Because you see, there is absolutely nothing worse you can do to players than giving them something they have wanted desperately for years, and then taking it away.

"You know what might be fun, let's go back to playing darts blindfolded!"

...Said nobody EVER.

They obviously do not care about that, or they are blind.

Lets me laugh so hard, over xx leagues they tried hard destroying the 1/2 character Meta, now we have a league with good build diversity they fuck one major driver of this : the possibility to craft gear even for non-meta gear.

But i assume they just sit in their ivory tower and thinking "wow, our recent skill adjustments made it finally" as the reason lmfao.

They are so decoupled from people ... the statement with the Exalt slam was proof and same time CRINGE TO EXTINCTION, i felt litereally embarrassed reading such a ridiculous statement.

Only way to make them feel is to think twice or more before buying any more support packs, the number of players on the servers they don´t really care as long as the $$$ comes in.

I myself won´t be part of their money making any more, too many brain dead decisions.
