What the hell have you done?!
Who craft with chaos and exalted orb!?

CAN YOU JUST PLEASE, FOR ONES THINK ABOUT NEW AND REGULAR PLAYERS, INSTEAD OF THOSE FUCKING STREAMERS AND RICHBOYS ALIKE WHO ARE BATHED IN DROPS AND CURRENCY!? NOT EVERYBODY HAS THAT LUCK, YOU NOW? YOU ARE LITERALLY RUINING NEW PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYERS EXPERIENCE.
It's 11am on a Friday in NZ.

Will we get a mitigation post before the weekend?

PLEASE DONT MAKE THESE CHANGES (at least not the way they were proposed).

I really feel it would be a big step backwards and it would hurt the game a lot.

Without harvest you are left being almost 100% depended on RNG and not in a good way at all, most of the time if u want to craft something onto your item its either going to brick your item, or you get lucky and you get something you can work with. And you have to do this with EVERY SINGLE UPGRADE. I really dont feel like this is a good system, especially after tasting how well it can feel and how good can it be to make items with harvest.
So most people just end up completelly ignoring the crafting and just save up currency to buy the finished item, which is a real shame, because with harvest a lot of people ended up learning how at least the basics of crafting work, because now they had a goal they could work towards and they could see how exactly they can make the item and progress it, WHICH IS AMAZING for this kind of game.

Also with the new maven orb being introduced the INSANE tier items are still heavily depended on RNG, but you can perfect them with harvest without risking bricking the item completelly, which feels really good in my opinion.
And you can make the good/mediocre double/single elevated items without insane budgets, again thanks to harvest.

With harvest, good, or mediocre items become really accesible to the casual players and thanks to it they get to experience at least some of the endgame, which they would never be able to get to without harvest crafting.

If you feel like harvest makes the game too easy there are multiple solutions that dont completelly kill harvest, which right now this proposal would prettymuch do.
Forexample making the chances of getting harvest in maps/through zana lower, or making the most "OP" crafts (remove add/augment) more rare.

Or/and buffing the endgame bosses/encounters in general so that they can still be challenging even with the insane item potential harvest provides.

Also if you arent happy about us trading the crafts through a discord you can just make the crafts tradable the same way we can trade beast (or any other way).

Of course this is just my opinion, but prettymuch killing such AN AMAZING mechanic, that makes the game SO MUCH more fun isn´t the way to go.

I usually dont post on any forums, or discussions like these, especially because I was really happy with prettymuch all the recent updates and the general direction which the game was headed and I think the developers are doing an AWESOME job with all the updates we got/are getting,
BUT I really really disagree with the proposed changes and feel like it would hurt the gaming experience A LOT for me, so I felt the need to share my opinion and cast my "vote" here.

As long trading exists in this game, everything will be ruined because of it.

I remember when Beastiary was actually rewarding, Heist was, Betrayel was, Delve was...

It all was nerfed as people used third party tools to exploit it, crafting items that nobody alone will ever lay hands on.

From my point of view, removing trade is the only way to go, else this game will never get to the point where fun mechanics for solo players can remain alive and that means, POE is doomed to fail.

D1-D3, Wolcen and many more games are successfull because you can do things on your own without trading. It might take longer, but at least its possible.

Since the beastiary nerf, I have yet to find a portal beast, six links craft or something worthy. Leave alone prophecy where six linking, atziri mirror are non existend and I could go on with every single league mechanic that once was rewarding.

This game is all about trading and this is the problem with POE, not harvest or anything else.

no one forces you to trade.
play your game how you want to play it. don't force that view onto others.

bestiary, heist, delve, essence are still rewarding, maybe not for you, but for others like me it is.

and the sole fault on tft lies in GGG. people will find a convenient way to do what they like. if they have to go to a 3rd party, then it means GGG is doing something wrong.

They are only rewarding in trade league, as people invite each other to farm good outcomes.

There was a time when we found portal beasts or six link beasts once every 12-24 encounters. This league I probably did 200 Einhar missions and not a single good beast.

Delve is the same. There was a time when we actually found really good gear, lots of currency, fossils... today, its all nerfed to the ground, especially the boss spawns and cities where red maps were easy to get.

GGG nerfs everything because of trade. If there would be no trading, then there would be no exploiting and RMT.

I dont want to force people to play like I do, but I also dont want to be forced to play like them. I will never, ever play non legit in a video game and this will remain like that.

Forcing me to join discord or RMT networks to progress in this game is a terrible move by GGG and before I do this, I will just play another game.

SSF should not be balanced around trading, GGG must understand this and give those in SSF a different balance setting, or remove trading and give everyone the same game.

Except that the game is balanced around trading and not SSF... TFT is just a mean to circle around a mecanic that was meant to be account bound and never being tradable from the beginning.
Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic...
Thanks god, I don't need to spent 30 minutes of my life in garden every time I visit it. I hope that in the future I won't be obliged to spent my time in Discord rather than in game to make a good item (doesn't look this way tho, ppl will optimize builds that dont rely on influence items heavily).
I love books.
I feel like i should proceed as with Game of Thrones and just forget about PoE even existing, as that would be better for my health.
I know that GGG stands for their motto of grinding and obviously they like gambling a lot, but i don't.
I haven't crafted a lot outside of harvest because i don't feel like using a rare currency just to mostly brick my items.
Harvest crafting is enough gambling already for me and making it much worse will drive me away from PoE.
I think Path of Matth did a great job describing what i also think about the changes in his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdpA_xHXhEA
i think is good to the game spread the harvest power between other league mechanics for example remove to alva temple, augment to bestiary, keep fracture/synthesis/influence mods/remove and add to the harvest, add a item to remove a prefix/sufix to perandus so you can grind another mechanics equally powerful

(and add defense/fire/cold/lighthing/physical/caster/minion/attributes exalted orbs)

slam exalted in a double influence item for try a 1/20 chance is not fun at all
