I like d2r. I think Kotick is a piece of trash and Actiblizz need to be reduced to ash in some vague hopes of a phoenix event.

Oddly I do not feel my life is particularly complicated in accommodating these two truths.

Oh total agreement on Kotick. Extend that to the entire board, and a handful of toxic executive enablers. Hell the majority of the company itself is disgusted. The writing is on the wall.

Honestly I wouldnt be surprised if they are working on a buyout right now. If he makes it to 2022 I'd be shocked.

It's a shame really, as there are outstanding folks doing work over there, not to mention the fine job VV did with D2R. Unfortunate collateral damage. Good employees being overshadowed by some real assholes in leadership roles.

That said, as you closed with, I'm perfectly capable of separating the two things.

New 2.3 patch coming in december.

Some QoL, minor audio visuals updates and bug fixes.
Hopefully they introduce the possibiilty to map move to another key or mouse button.

Diablo II was breathed new life, but at the same time, the game was left almost unchanged. Unfortunately, problems with servers were not the last item on the list of disappointments. At the end of the first day, players complained en masse about the rollback of progress and the loss of access to characters. Why this happened is not completely clear. I also encountered bugs with procedural level generation. For example, locked doors in rooms, lack of passages between locations, etc. That's why I'm not playing Diablo II right now. I got hooked on cs go, in which I not only play but also sell my weapons and buy skins on the platform [Removed by Support]

Ladder and balance of some skills, new runewords ... all very interesting.

Well I believe I called this and linked a few articles much earlier in this thread about their intentions post-launch.

D2R getting mini-live service is going to be great.

New items, skill improvements, adding a PTR. There could be some cool things they do with ladder seasons that I'm looking forward to.

I am enjoying D2R but I’m also going to be giving poe a fair try finally.

d2r was massive dissapointment for me, it could have reached the stars but it didnt innovate, median xl by far better version of d2

Been playing it a ton lately. Yeah it does not have the depth of PoE, but performance issues, nerfs and random one shots are finally making me feel less compelled to play PoE. If the next PoE update is not improvement I will definitely be giving more time to D2R. Enjoying it a lot more than I thought. Some things were familiar, but I had forgotten a lot, played D2 when it originally launched.
