ELI5: you deal 60% elemental damage while penetrating 25 resistances. Kickass. You can try getting anomalous for extra cast speed.

Longer version: You generate resonance from damage you don't deal (eg you hit cold you generate fire and lightning resonance, you hit lightning you generate cold and fire resonance. In essence you generate all three resonances because we deal cold and lightning damage).

Elemental equilibrium doesn't work for us as we need to prehit with Fire damage before every channeling skill hit somehow to generate cold and lightning resistance negatives.


Ah OK, thanks for the explanation. I meant EE in the sense that it gives resonance based on the element hit akin to the way EE gives ele pen varying on the ele hit (cold hit grants fire/light, etc).

As for EE itself, the only real way to make that work in this build which really imo not worth it is have a bit of fire damage on attack and hitting the enemy with the attack to get EE. The other way which already sacrifices some defense is Malachai's Artifice ring with a fire spell like Armageddon Brand and using that Brand often enough to break your rotation. Neither option isn't worth it really.

[edit] After messing around in my current build. I don't think trinity works the way you expect it to necessarily work. Do you get all 3 elemental resonances to fill up on normal use? Also looked at your profile in PoB and obviously you're hitting with 2 elements (cold and lightning), I did the same with my setup and noticed that I have 2 resonances maxed out but the third one (whitish colored bar - I assume for cold) never fills up except on rare occasions when I'm using Divine Ire. I haven't attempted it with Storm Burst yet but if so I hope the result will be better.
TLDR: My Fire and Lightning Resonances do fill up when I channel with Divine Ire using Trinity support, cold doesn't fill up except on extremely rare occasions.
I also know my current char's build is a mess, but I'm messing around with a Divine Ire ignite build currently which I'm enjoying.

Cast while channeling
Inspiration
Infused Channeling
Conc Effect
Hydrosphere

?

And the tip to clear A8 Sirus deathless is simply to equip flame dash and know the mechanics. I'm currently at 3860 life, will go up to around 4200 soon, and it's fine.

Drop conq effect for trinity. If you do POB - dont forget to adjust resonance to 50 to see the difference it makes.
Interesting. Seems to increase DPS and it's at 50 all the time.

Does less orbs hit bosses w/o conc eff?

Trinity doesn't work on "orb" skills tho, so it doesn't affect hydrosphere. It kinda seems like a DPS gain to drop hydrosphere and CWC for trinity and additional support gem and drop hydrosphere manually on bosses to inflict exposures buffed by mastermind of discord, or just to switch to Shaper of Storms.

Does "increased ailment effect" or "increase shock effect" increase 15% min shock for Shaper of Storms btw?

Shaper of Storm is best to go if you have Cluster Jewels, otherwise Mastermind of Discord is better. As for gems a 6 Linked Storm Burst will absolutely destroy Hydrosphere in terms of DPS. In the PoB I link below the total DPS goes from 25m DPS to almost 40m DPS from the addition of Conc Effect. Where as Hydrosphere is only doing 1m by itself. This also makes making a staff significantly easier and you can boost it further by not needing Cast while Channelling.

The things you do for Hydro, take a significantly huge DPS loss just to have it because it looks cool D:. The PoB: https://pastebin.com/P1L51KVP

So what's the best to dump hydrosphere for in this set up to maximize damage overall?

Won't go for a staff right now since I enjoy my wand.

i don't know how but even my items are decent. My Total DPS way more lower. I just don't understand whats wrong. Maybe i am missing something. Thanks if anyone can help me.

This may have been answered - did not read all 24 pages of comments, but what is the point of increasing our skill duration with Potency of Will and Exceptional Performance?

Is there any reason outside of making our Sphere last longer? Sure, it'll help RF and IW a bit, but adding to the length of Sphere seems silly, imo. What am I missing?
