now for an upgrade I am looking for better armor and have this waiting:


but lack res to use it.
Funniest thing is I was unlucky with trials and didn't run Uber lab yet.

Now one question, weapon upgrade:
There was available weapon with 40% Elemental damage and +1 to fire skills and possibility to craft fire damage on it but was not sure if that would be upgrade over mine, would love to hear opinions.

And other question, I got Vaal RF with 8% quality drop but can't up it as it is corupted, how can I get 20% Vaal RF or 21 Vaal RF? is there a trick or it is drop only?

and last, which gems it would be worth wile to get 20% quality and drop to lev 1 and relevel?

Great job on your gear! Lookin' sexy :).

In regards to +1 to fire skill gems, it's a hard call. Having a +1 for your main skill always helps, but some skills benefit more than others. RF is ok with it. If you find a way to get multiple increases to RF gem level, then it really does well. So the investment to get the +1, is up to you. 40% Elemental Damage can be easily found everywhere so it's a matter of where you want to spend your currency.

A 20/20 Vaal RF is normally achieved by getting a normal RF skill to 20%, levelling the 20% gem to level 20, then Vaaling it. You can load up your 2nd weapon set with RF's for this purpose in hopes that one of them will give you what you want. (I think having a Level 21 gem is stronger than a 23% at level 20.)

Awesome! Nice to see you around. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with RF.

Two things that will help a lot with sustaining RF are: removing Generosity from Purity of Fire. Generosity makes it so the linked Auras don't work on you. Second thing is that I think you forgot to start levelling Vitality. Both of those are MUSTS for this build.

Start with that and see where it takes you.

For now I'd stick with the small gem changes that you posted in your boots. A lot of the skills suggested are pretty important to the build and not worth improving the small crit chance of Ball Lightning. You'll find that EO is on almost all the time anyway without the Ice Golem. Adding the Holy Relic in is a good idea with Shield Charge depending on what's removed. I think stick with the small changes first and make sure you're crushing content before too much else is modified.

Did chieftan RF first, but that was just not as good this league than earlyer league, so decided to try this.
I'm now 69 and must say that this must be some of the most fun i had this league :)

Using the gear from my chieftan so have decent gear already, but not the gems yet as they require level 72+.

Using you guide as my template and changing things to suit my playstyle is always fun with your guides as they always have that opening. No strict routes or strict gem settup.

Will post an POB for my version later on as i progress and able to test different things. The damage is already higher than my chieftan so im positively surprised :D

Nice to see you! Thanks for the praise and encouragement. I really appreciate it. I'm glad you're having such a good time with the new RF build. It was hard to leave the Chieftain behind but I'm really excited about the pros and cons of this one. I think it's more efficient in the long run. The idea, once I can figure it out, is to actually have the Stone Golems as the primary damage source and RF as a secondary skill. I couldn't find a way to do it in a way that I liked though. So we'll see for 3.13 :).

I'm glad you having a good time though with a couple of hickups. The tree changes you've made, including your gems, you're hovering around 175% instead of 200% increased life. That'll have an impact on survivability for sure as you get into the highest tier life mods on gear. 200% would have you around 6500 to 7000 life with pretty decent life mods all around.

In terms of damage, your Flame Dash is working against you. As as I can see, gem wise, you're missing a skill that hits frequently with either lightning or cold damage. Elemental Equilibrium needs a non-fire hit without any fire hitting to work well with RF. Flame Dash has a hit and a dot, so your Movement is hurting your damage output. So find a way to never hit with fire and hit lots with lightning or cold.

Once that's fixed, you could always replace Increased AoE Support with something else. You may not need to but that will help on top of things.

I hope that helps. Let us know how things are after it's all fixed up.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Last league I had pretty good damage with the Jugger version, but this time, I have all the damage nodes on the tree, plus damage from cluster jewel and gear, and yet, already in yellow maps things die so slowly.

What am I missing?

Could Flame Dash be the reason? You have it in your ring.

I'm planning to use all suggested gems. I got this ring

so this freed one slot, then I'll try to get a helm with 2 RF supports which will make the helmet the main damage 6-link. In the suggestions we have two items with max level of "Cast When Damage taken" with Golems and Immortal Call. They can be combined into my 6L chest with just one "Cast When Damage taken" and this will save me 1 socket. In this case I would have one extra empty slot either in the chest (I could put Holy Relic there to resurrect it together with Golems) or a socket somewhere else. We already have a Guard spell, so I can't use Steelskin for example and my next idea was an additional golem since we actually invest a lot into golem buffs. So I'm trying to figure out something helpful that will still be one button build :)
