[3.12] Hexblast IGNITE Trickster | Laser from the Sky, Chaos Ignites! | Hybrid or CI.

I'm running a hierophant hexblast archmage ignite build.

Since hexblast says all damage can ignite, will the added lightning damage be added to the chaos damage for 1 big ignite? Or will it pick whichever is highest and base the ignite from that?

I'm really confused since it seems removing archmage and adding unbound ailments or added chaos decreases the damage of the ignite.

Basically I have no idea how how it all works together

Ignite is normally fire only, but Hex Blast (amongst other exceptions) coding allows for the whole hit to be converted into damage over time.

I've not played with archmage stuff so no idea how to set that up in PoB. One that I looked at the hit was basically 50/50 chaos and lightning. If the ignite was only the chaos portion, it should be far more noticeable with archmage on or off.

Hex Master - 2 points do nothing with Doomsday. The other 2 have some added benefit, but I'd probably only take that branch if I was running 2+ manual curses and no Doomsday. The area of effect would be nice, but our prolif acts as our aoe already.

Malicious Intent - I'm not sure what the wording means. Could mean gain 4 doom, 4 max doom (different wording than the +10), or something with doom generation. 4 max doom would be the only one that helps us with Doomsday. Skip from me unless you're already branching down to Constitution, but points are fairly scarce to do that and take that branch.

Great build so far, very fun.

However I have one question with the witchwfire brew flask for me it's very clunky without +1 curse.
So far I understand this:
On pack just press flask and go for hexblast.
But for boss, do we cast flamabilty, then hexblast to proc ignite and after use the flask for the increased damage over time ?

It definitely can be clunky. You have to be really careful not to trigger Witchfire during the 1 second while boss is in the hexed area, as if you do, it will remove all doom and your ignite hit will be weak.

Correct order is:
- Flammability, wait 1 second for hexed area to "pop"
- Ignite boss
- Activate witchfire to buff DOT

(Longer ignites make this easier to do, which makes me want to swap out Swift Affliction to something else)

I have been toying with adding back the chaos dmg gem instead of swift affliction myself. I really do think this build benefits grom either gear with additional curse or just springing for the additional curse on tree (5 points for hybrid and 3 for CI) having more curse room lets you play with witchfire brew, Blasphamy, or trigger curses for more dmg/utility/or debuffs

One thing I'm worried about though is how well/bad is this against high end bosses like Conquerors, Uber Izaro (even Merc version), etc?

I was thinking about both those rings!

the Replica seems nice for clearspeed
the second gives us a 0.5 sec window to use hexblast.. which seems okay...

Fated End seems awful with Doomsday, you have half a second window to cast Hexblast :/
