Path of Exile: Heist Balance Manifesto
just kill the necro, will ya, patch after patch we rarely get any buff, ffs at least leave us be

" if you find necro build unchallaging, one question WHY ARE YOU STILL PLAYING THEM? i dont/cant use cluster jewels, usaly priced out of them so i dont do any build using them. MAKE LEFT CLICK GREAT AGAIN.

The funny thing is that necro is still probably top tier for SSF anyway

The issue is not dealing with something broken like a specific raised spectre type, it's all the collateral damage to the other build types that were already borderline for average folks.
The game used to be accessible to all players. You learnt the telegraphed behaviours of bosses so you could manually dodge the attacks you weren't meant to tank and how good your build was determined how quickly you could take down a boss. You died because you need some more levels for your skills or you didn't dodge the boss slam. Somewhere along the journey GGG lost their way. Complexity and power creep got out of control and are now forever beyond redemption. Remember when magic find Dominus runs were a thing? The increased loot chance from a boss made the long fight worthwhile and players compromised damage/survival for Magic Find. You could play with what you found and crafted and slowly upgrade. Now you need a 6 link minimum and the game is balanced around that plus jewels, et al. The real budget build is harder and harder to find because of the power creep. The replayability of the game used to come from all the different skills and build types, but so much of that is now locked behind wealth generation that they are effectively out of reach for average players. So the primary complaint many people are relating here is not the management of unintentionally broken items, but all the unwarranted destruction for builds that were playable, fun and accessible for the average person. |

" A progression of 30% back to 20% as the gem was leveled up to 20 would have been fine. 30 to 25, doubt anyone will be able to use it for anything end game. An extra 5% base times all the support gem multipliers for each spell slung skill... is a killer, especially when spellslinger was only really used with skills that required skill combos to work.
" I know right? It's almost as if people will need to think now rather than just slapping spellslinger on everything. 5% will mean either you need to get more mana reserve reduction,or change the supports, or have 1 less skill. Not the end of the world.
ahhh
this topic is full of the sweet and salty tears of necros for those complaining: GGG could have been much more evil by simply moving Glancing Blows downwards marauder or scion past life node if i was a dev i would add a "overwhelmed debuff" "charge" on GB that the more you block recently, it increases damage taken proportional to those charges (and then add some kind of damage mitigation condition when you are very close to your minions to balance things out) necros should use minions as meat shields not spamming and charging through mobs ffs |
|
ah yes the Tggg way to fix things.. nerf old fotm to switch to new ones then nerf the old new ones to create new ones.
so fresh man.. and the community isnt better anyway "nerf this build, buff mine" "muh build got nerfed or destroyed so take it!" I really hope you change the way you attempt to "balance" this game dramatically in poe2 otherwise what's the point of a "new" game if the more changes the more stay the same? "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure." Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. Retired since crucible.(Not a free tester anymore for a multi billion dollar company). Last edited by Xystre on Sep 14, 2020, 10:13:09 PM

This is just the foreplay before we get f*ck, & people moaning already :)
"A game IS supposed to waste your time but it's not supposed to make you FEEL like you're wasting your time:
It's supposed to make you WANT to waste your time." |
|
" You already had to get mana reserve reduction and choose supports with less cost to make things work, and that's when the cost was 20% base. 25% base at end game, there will be nothing you can do. You will in fact not be able to run a 3rd, or you will and all 3 will be mediocre, leaving you under powered end game. Having said this, the above is for the masses. If you are the super rich 1%/no life/streamer player... 25% base vs 20% base will make no difference. You will out gear it with godly, perfect corrupted jewels/cluster jewels that all have 1% reduced mana reserved corruption, which is typical GGG balance... kill it for everyone except those that play the game as their job. |
