Yep - a very common issue (i've found from watching people stream to me) is that the castcancel happens when they try to move away before the second cast animation completes. This is why the Cast Speed Cane of Kulemak and Cast Speed Nodes (Enigmatic Reach) are picked up - the extra 60% base cast speed not only scales endgame DPS a LOT - it makes starting maps feel pretty damn smooth because it cuts down the stupid animation time by a TON.

By the time you have cast speed rolling from the Corpse Pact stacks (in the Mino video for example) - it gets so fast it looked like I was doing Brand Recall, but was actually bringing out two new brands.

So.... I went to look for the Kulemak with cast speed. I tried to find one with the stats that you had for the 35EX version but it seems none are available for trade, even looking through offline trades. It must be super rare with this combo.

Increased Fire Damage
Increased cast speed
Chance to Ignite
Critical Strike Multiplier while a Rare or Unique enemy is near by

I do see ones with the Fire, cast speed, and Ignite, but no Critical Strike Multiplier. Any suggestion on what is the next best stat to get or maybe a different set of stats?

you can buy them without unveil until you get the stats you want and resell the others.
That is not a bad idea to buy and resell, but I'm not sure I have the budget to take risks if it don't sell :(

I did find one with cast speed, increased fire damage, chance to ignite, and chance to double damage for a decent price. I think those stats are the next best ones to get if the one with "Critical Strike Multiplier while a Rare or Unique enemy is near by" doesn't exist for trade.

I was about to jump on the ones with increased Spell Damage, but for some reason it didn't do anything on POB. So I found out that Spell damage only increases actual spells that are cast, and not the damage type it does which is fire for us.

Long-ass boomer version that PoE vets / Newbies wanting to learn will enjoy

Part 2 - How do we scale explosions then, since it hates spell modifiers?


We used to use Shimmerons because they scaled Corpse Explosions gloriously (base crit/global mult/global chance). That died with with the ES Leech changes. The next best alternative is to abuse the super-laden Staff nodes - the Serpent Stance cluster + Counterweight (through a Thread of Hope) return a lot of power back to the build. Enigmatic Reach is also very overloaded with AoE, damage and precious cast speed.

There are two excellent unique staves we can pick up to fill the void left by Shimmerons. The first is https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Duskdawn, which gives a whopping 135% global crit multiplier (conditionally, but that condition is almost always up).

The second is a Cane of Kulemak with a Fire Damage roll - these are much rarer as most people would choose to unveil Spell Damage over Fire Damage. The key stats to look out for, in order of priority for the build, are:

Cast Speed > Fire Damage = Crit Multiplier if Rare of Unique Enemy Nearby > Spell Damage > Double Damage / Non-Chaos as Chaos.



You'll be fine on Sirus, just watch the Showcase video and watch how to use only 2 brands. 4 brands won't help you at all. Send 2 out, they stick around for 10s anyway, calmly replace them. Spamming Brands is going to get a beginner killed.

Yes I totally missed that... snice I'm a noob, even if I read it, it will go over my head haha... but now that I understand the build a lot better, it makes sense now. :P

BTW... I'm thinking about going to the 35EX build. The helms with 7 link Hypothermia are crazy expensive right now and there doesn't seem to be many available for trade. Trying to craft this would be super expensive as well right? I think I will have to give up on the Hypothermia helm haha...

As for the chest, the exploding chests with 10% frenzy charge seems to be pretty expensive as well. I was thinking, if I want to fight Sirus, since it is a single target fight, would it be better to use a chest with just Frenzy charge on it? Then for just mapping go for a explode chest? trying to find a chest with both mods is just way too expensive for me right now.

Also just wondering if there are any ways to craft helm or chest at lower cost? Probably easier to buy? I was going to try to augment my helm with cold, because it has cold resist, to get hypothermia but I guess that don't work anymore on Influenced items?

My spectres are dying and need to be resummoned nearly every map. Is this intentional or am I missing something?

This is really, really overdue, my sincerest apologies. I took a hiatus from PoE (and some gaming) to focus on RL things.

It is a very good call to invest in the chests separately, I did not think about that. Insane value for money as we hardly need any links in the chest at all, plus you can really cherrypick insane modifiers from a cheap pool of unlinked, Frenzy-only chests. (35% chaos res for Sirus, for e.g.).

Search up a page or two. I believe people have simply been searching the wrong mods when 10-15ex helms pop up every day, mostly due to high-end minion helm crafters selling their failed attempts which are perfect for us.

Mind, that might take a hit next league with EO changes nerfing Ele minions a little.

Hello! There is a checklist to stop this from happening.

1) Once you are level 72, get a L20 Desecrate and L20 Raise Spectre. This makes sure you get the tankiest spawns possible at that level.

2) Make sure you run the right spectres.

Finally -

3) A Sulphur Flask anywhere is a great DPS boost and also will top off your minions considerably. You will notice they die a lot less when mapping. Otherwise, all the thousand little cuts add up because they have no innate regen. Or dump 3-4 points into Minions Regenerate 1% life node on the west side of the tree.
