I guess this depends on your playing style. We have very little physical damage in the build though, so fire conversion does not really synergize. This is why we don't use Added Fire Damage support.

In the past I have heavily employed Infernal Cry to create big explosions while mapping.


the explosion caused by asenath gentle touch is physical damage:

+(20-30) to Intelligence
+(60-80) to maximum Life
+(60-80) to maximum Mana
Curse Enemies with Temporal Chains on Hit, with 40% increased Effect
Non-Aura Curses you inflict are not removed from Dying Enemies
Enemies near corpses affected by your Curses are Blinded
Enemies Killed near corpses affected by your Curses explode, dealing
3% of their Life as Physical Damage

Since we scale fire damage my concern is that the physical damage is not significant enough to cause consistent chain explosion so we need to convert it to fire.


if you can make it work, please let us know. It is a very interesting idea.

I am not sure it will work for our crit version since we need rare gloves to help balance our strength and int but you may be able to do it with out needing them.
Is Glorious Vanity & Corrupted Soul still in the base PoB? If so maybe it should be removed and high strength gloves used to balance? More strength = more life, as well as more crit chance in case brittle isn't being maxed out. The free jewel slot was very helpful for me too.

stoudtlr, do you think we should try and see if we can work his tree in our version? I think it will cause us to need to rebalance str and int but it does seem to free up at least 3 tree points. He is using the sockets to great effect to scale damage via the multi crit mods. Let me know what you think...

I think I would add his tree to the base POB, but leave your original as an additional tree. I really like his pathing and he was able to balance stats with only two jewels. +12 strength on one and a +5 strength node on one of the clusters. No extra stats at all on his rare gloves or ring.

I think showing multiple tree options might help people because of our need to balance stats. It will give them ideas for how to customize the tree if needed based on the stats they have on their gear. I don't think this is one of those cookie cutter builds where every person will have the exact same tree and gear.

I agree 100% this won't be cookie cutter. Every one's build will probably be slightly different because of the attribute balance issue.

But I am concerned that adding another tree to the POB is going to be very confusing for anyone new to the build since if they select the wrong tree, the gear won't line up and stats won't be balanced.

Maybe it will be simpler just to take Brigetiol POB, convert to 3.17 when ready and present that as a second sample POB along side the one I have been maintaining.....

I will give this more thought.

Here is the baseline crit version for 3.17 as of today.

It does not use Glorious Vanity (and neither does Brigetiol version he is playing right now in 3.16).

Now that I think about it, you're right. Might just confuse people having multiple trees. Just have one, either is good IMO, and just adjust your notes tab to reflect what stats are needed on gear for that tree. A total of 40 if you go with Brigetiol's tree or a total of 60 for your current tree.

Speaking of the notes in your POB...you can remove the line about the 60 number changing depending on your belt. We get all attributes from the belt so the 60 number will stay the same whether the belt is +15 all or +20 all.

I never have a farming strategy sadly. I just alch and go. Every league I collect over 100 ex though just by grinding. some day I will do an actual strategy....

I am more concerned with what happened to Zana....who is going to ask me if I am still sane?????? :)
