[3.11] CoC Ball Lightning Assassin - 20M+ Shaper DPS/10k ES/fortify - League Starter Guide Included
Hello, a question about cluster jewel
Is there a reason to use 2x "Energy From Naught (+100 ES)" instead of "Savour the moment (10% ES)" ? savour the moment won't give us more ES ? |
|
" +100 ES is for flat ES, and 10% ES is increasing that flat ES. For example, if your flat ES is 500, Energy From Naught make it 600, and after that, your % increased maximum energy shield (on tree, jewel) will do a better job. Imo, flat is always better than % increased. % increased ES on gears, like helmet, shield, belt, body armour are local increase; but on passive skill tree and jewel, it's global increase. Whats the better option:
Get a Watcher's Eye with ES gained on hit AND incr. Light dmg/incr. critical strike Chance while affected by Wrath or Get a Watcher's Eye only with ES on Hit and upgrade Helmet or Body Armour? |
|
Is there a good method to try to craft boots, or should I just buy them?

If someone is intrested in getting decent ammy I crafted that and its quite simple and cheap with Harvest
1. Look for base with no influence (or with Crusader's one), i82+, T1 Flat ES, T1 Crit multi and some Str/Dex, I bought few of those for 5-15C each 2. If possible, target annul unwanted mods with Harvest or just try your luck with regular annul. What is important, you want 2 open prefixes, no open suffixes and option to bench craft something. 3. Slam with Crusader Orb 3a. You got +1 Lightning gems or Lightning Pen - you win. Craft %ES and call it a day. 3b. You slammed bad Influence mod that cannot be target annul - buy remove Influenced modifier. 3c. You slammed bad Influence mod that can be target annuled - just do that because it's cheaper. 4. Once you have base with Crusader influence and -T1 ES -open prefix -open prefix -T1 Crit multi -Str/dex -some resist other than lightning Benchcraft "Adds # to # lightning damage to attacks". It will block mod with highest weight, leaving us with - +1 Lighting gems - Lightning pen - Lightning dmg leech as life or ES - Phys as lightning All with similar weights. From now on, you just keep on Harvest slamming augment lightning and hope for the best. In case of bad mod, you remove crafted mod first, then you remove Lightning with Harvest, craft lightning to attack on bench again and then you augment Lightning with Harvest again. Total cost? 10c base 1.3ex Crusader Ex 90c remove influenced mods 3x remove lightning 10-15c each 4x aug lightning 15c each 4x remove/add cold for 15c each to get decent cold resist I could go for +1 lightning instead of pen, its a bit better, but I want to use currency on getting 52% CDR and 10 aps now ;) Last edited by maciek2g#7691 on Jul 13, 2020, 11:44:38 AM

" Not your skill tree, i meant se7enek's skilltree |

Hi
I'm following this coc fire ice nova build with dual wield cospri (and a 6l with wave of conviction). Can anyone confirm that 15.07 aps with 14% cdr works just fine? My damage single target seems a bit low unfortunately, but according to the guide on youtube it should be optimal |

Got super lucky with these rolls, two open suffixes. Any idea on how to proceed with the craft? Slam Warlords Exalted & hope for -9 Lightning Res? And if not Aug Light to force the mod? |
|
" -9 lightning res is Crusader, not Warlord. Also, make sure this item is i85 before you proceed ;) And yeah, slam it, if you got bad mod then just use remove influenced mod from harvest or if it possible, just target annul it. Then, to force -9 lightning you can just benchcraft lightning resist first and then use augment lightning, 100% chance to get it. Btw, made this yesterday, still have to get 28% qual and fix resists but its already pretty damn nice Last edited by maciek2g#7691 on Jul 14, 2020, 6:02:53 AM

Hey man, followed your guide and this is the most OP build I've used in PoE. I have a pretty bad internet connection so I invested in a bunch of extra defenses (mostly hitting max attack/spell block with glancing blows and Rumi's up, 74/56 without, and 5% es on block). I also opted to spec unwavering stance for stun avoidance since it's only 5 points away from glancing blows on the tree and I don't have to mess around with a bunch of +10/20 stun avoidance and then only getting stun avoidance during cyclone (channeling conditional of Lucidity).
I got very lucky with my overlord cluster jewel (8 passives, 2 jewel sockets, and overlord is right by the entrance). I hit ~10aps by getting 5-6% attack speed on most of my jewels, 10% attack speed implicit on Algor Mortis, and tailwind on boots. I only get 20% increased AoE from tree but I should still be around 5-10M shaper DPS depending on conditionals. PoB is here for anyone interested: https://pastebin.com/hzwUTr9J For starting this build on a budget, you can search trade for one-handed melee weapons with "Vagan's veiled" + "% increased critical strike chance" and there are usually a bunch of cheap options, eventually you'll hit "hits can't be evaded" and this is a huge dps boost vs. using something without hit's can't be evaded (edit: you can also explicitly search for "hits can't be evaded" crafted mod and "% increased crit chance >= 35", which people also sometimes put up as throwaways). I found this was smoother than using Lycosidae with a stronger spell dagger/sceptre since it's cheaper and easier to roll a high ES shield with some spell damage boosts than getting a GG dagger/sceptre. I also used this to help with no regen maps - I ended up looking on trade for Vagan's veiled gemini claws (for mana on hit) and unveiling those until I got "hits can't be evaded" (still bring a mana flask in case though). Question about crit chance - I was running a dagger until recently, which gives 30% increased global crit chance, and had a higher base crit chance too. I'm guessing overall crit chance nodes were nerfed in 3.11 (?), because when I switched to sceptre for fortify I had to swap to a jewel with 10% increased crit chance and spec a 20% crit chance node near Assassination to hit 99% crit chance again (with dagger it was like 99.5%+ without those nodes). Wondering if you have any suggestions for this? Last edited by efun#3020 on Jul 14, 2020, 4:49:19 PM
