Totally up to you but personally I dislike gem swapping. Also when it comes to really dense mobs like during blighted maps ball lightning actually clears better than arc.

In your opinion, the same runs true in regards to the Arc/LB in super juiced high tier maps? LB outperforms?

Are we certain that this "extended mine detonation sequence" thing works with ball lightning mines? Doing it with pyroclast is very visually obvious with all the extra lag, and i can do it easily/consistently. I've been trying to do it with ball lightning mines for about an hour now and it's either not working at all or it's not visually obvious as it is with pyroclast. I've been taking a closer look at videos in the OP but i can't tell if he's actually doing it or if it's just his helmet enchant causing all the extra projectiles.

Thats right even in some T16 incursions you will begin to feel ball lightning outperform arc. When you start to juice it up with sextant and unique watch stones arc becomes very slow. However, arc is superior when it comes to Legion because the mobs are spaced very evenly and arc can chain quite well.

im pretty sure its tremor rod that fucks it all up. when the mines 'reset' it screws up the chain, because they will not detonate from the chain, and since they are still there throwing new mines doesn't override them properly.

so the first det sequence is screwed up because of tremor rod, but the 2nd, after all the mines reactivate, can be done like any other miner without the tremor rod and you can extend the det sequence.

I think its because base detonation speed for pyro mines 0.35s, blastchain\impact mines - 0.25. Its definitely possible to chain beyond 23 mines, but chain is shorter and harder to execute.

can't make the sequence bigger than the initial 23 mines..
Which gem would you recommend as 6th link when I didn't want to use Ele Focus? Inspiration, Empower or something else? I know I could use trap and mine damge but I will probaly swap it for slower projectiles for mapping.


I am asking because I want to use the new Thunderstruck notable to knock back enemies.
