I am sorry I'm sure it's already been asked, but how the fuck do you deal with the randomness of Tremor Rod, I have no issues keeping a chain going without it but with Tremor Rod the second set I can never do it.

I think you need a high amount of throw speed.

As the mine charges are only 5s the second charge of mines may start to expire before the chain has a chance to get to them.

For example on my Level 50 experiment character I can chain Pyroclast mine which has a cast time of 0.18secs

But I can't chain Ball Lightning which has a cast time of 0.75 secs.

I wonder whether getting more levels and better gear for throw speed would improve this.

Yes, as I suspected. From the wiki:

Mines casting spells
After a mine has been detonated, if the skill is a Spell, there is a delay of the spell's Cast Time, which uses the mine's casting speed modifiers.

This means the delay between each detonation is longer, therefore your mines will start to expire before the chain reaches them.

So to get longer chains you either need mine laying speed (to get all mines out quicker)
OR use cast speed modifiers to reduce the detonation time.

With my lvl50 test BL mine at lvl 9 has a cast time of 0.68seconds. If I detonate mines once the chain breaks with 10 left.

Adding a lvl 11 faster casting (32% inc cast speed) the cast time reduces to 0.53s. If I detonate once the chain breaks with 5 left.

So I think this confirms that the chain breaking is due to mines expiring.

Nvm, don't think this is the case.

I wonder if it's because the next mine in the chain is chosen randomly and the activation distance?

Last post I promise, I think my original assumption is correct.

When the mines re-arm, the 5second timer doesn't reset.

hey, build looks really cool. i was wondering how you think it compares to akanes BL miner, which is scion and uses indigon, agnostic, CoD, etc. which is tankier, which has higher top-end damage, which is better at bossing, etc? i'm totally torn. one thing making me lean towards this one is that it's super rare-heavy, and since harvest looks like crafting league, it might be better positioned to take advantage of that than akanes, which uses so many uniques

I don't really know for sure since I haven't played his version, but his has more tankiness and EHP, but slightly less damage. Mine is probably easier to gear for in SSF since I don't use Indigon which requires Uber Elder fight.
