Hey man, having a good time with the build so far, thanks for sharing it. Just having some survivability and damage issues. I'm able to kill t16 metamorphs but get instagibbed quite a bit and some take awhile to kill, any advice?
Also I'm only able to place 21 mines rather than 23, is that making a huge difference?

You are missing Saboteur node above Assassination. All the life on your gear is low. Our tankiness comes from the amount of life we have and instant flask which we spam when we get hit. Also, the quicker you kill the better because you don't have to deal with monster mechanics. If you need an extra boost feel free to replace your level 1 steelskin (it should be level 20) with a level 5 20quality enfeeble. You can also use defensive flasks like granite or rumis concoction, up to you. You should be able to instakill all metamorph with the correct detonation sequence.

Edit: I can't see your tree while on mobile so it's hard for me to figure out why you only have 21 mines, but yes it will make a huge difference because we need long detonation chain to do maximum damage. That's why I don't use swift assembly, we need the extra mines placed from minefield. My best advice for you is: build more damage, you can never have enough in the current state of the game. Get more life (7500+) and then build all damage. When you unavoidably get hit spam instant life flask and move out of the way.

Try to practice detonating in your hideout. Lay down 23 mines and hit detonate. Count to 2 seconds in your head and start throwing mines to extend the chain. You only need to hit detonate once,if you hit it more you will prematurely end the chain and gimp your damage. Avoid throw/detonate/throw/detonate... That does no damage for us. You want to throw at least two or three times before hitting detonate.

I've tried practicing the detonation sequence in my hideout and it just doesnt feel like I can get it to work. It may have something to do with my 21 mines vs 23 issue but I don't understand how to fix that lol. I'll try to work on the life and damage on my gear some more currency permitting of course, can't afford a watcher's eye or bottled faith at the moment. About the only thing I could see being able to do is upgrading to a 10% lightning pen amulet.
I'll work on it some more when I get home though, at work as well currently.

You are missing Saboteur node above Assassination. You don't need bottled faith or watcher's eye to 1 shot metamorphs, you just need to be able to detonate efficienty. Take a look at my rewritten explanation under "Playstyle" in the guide. Don't compare ball lightning to pyroclast mine, pyroclast mine lags when the detonations get really fast, but ball lightning works exactly the same way, it's just not as noticeable.

Hi, could you please explain further the play style a bit.

So, all mine, 23 of them, thrown down, detonate one time will trigger all 23 of them, 1 by 1? During the triggering of those initial 23 mines, I will throw down more mine and all of them new mines will be triggered as well without me detonate 1 more? Or all new mines have to manually detonate?

I watch all of the video and sometime you detonate continuously so I don't really understand. Sorry for being a newbie in this playstyle.

Also, thanks for a great build, I was following durimon's guide but I spent more time dying than playing with that, so this build is perfect for me.

You press detonate once to start the chain. During that chain some mines will rearm in time to be detonated in the same chain, you start throwing mines after about 1.5s in order not to overwrite the existing ones which will end your chain, but still quick enough to be included in the existing chain. It's hard to explain with words but if you practice in hideout you will start to understand the mechanics.

So, I just got the "40% increased Ball Lightning damage" enchant... I notice you have the "Ball Lightning fires an additional projectile" one..

Which is better? I know you said it doesn't matter what enchantment you have on your helmet...

Ball lightning damage is better for single target, additional proj is better for clearing and overall coverage. I dropped blast waves since I have this enchant.
