I currently don't have the dex for cyclone. I imagine to have a level 20/21 cyclone would require a lot of hard to obtain dex come end game, what's the strategy for dealing with that?

Are the only modifiers that increase damage with the build minion damage, and skill gem level upgrades?

We don't need cyclone to be high level, just level 1 cyclone is fine. That amount of dex should be easily fixable with the implicit from an amulet.

The build benefits from minion damage, gem level, and increased aura effect of skills.
Thanks! Appreciate the help, last time I played was synthesis and have never done any sort of minion build.

I'm not so sure about how to optimally play in terms of skill usage. When to trigger the novas on mapping vs bossing.

When should I use cyclone, should it be spammed on bosses? Are you supposed to cast holy relic into the group of mobs?
PM me if I win.
Hi There,
I'm trying your build and its working pretty well so far. My largest problem is that my static strike takes forever to wind up: the attack time is 0.73 sec - so my character has to freeze in place for .7 seconds just to attack. During this time, the enemy i'm trying to attack is often dead, or I have taken significant damage from the pack i am trying to kill. I don't notice this problem in any of your video clips. Is my attack speed just too low?

Edit, just saw all the other comments about the same issue. I'm going to swap over to cyclone. Why is it important that the attack rate is a multiple, and how close does it need to be?

see the guide: "Note: Make sure that the attack rate of cyclone is a multiple of the cooldowns per second of the nova skill. E.g. If your relic skill cooldown is 0.375s, your cyclone should have an attack rate of 1/0.375 = 2.667, or a multiple of this number (2.667, 5.333, 8,...)"

Where do I find this cooldown of the nova skill, and how exact does the cyclone attack rate need to be?

Thanks and hope you all are enjoying the new league.

Summon Holy Relic is like Raise Zombie. It will follow you around, and disappear only when it dies. The relic releases a nova whenever you attack an enemy, but the nova skill has a cooldown of 0.3s.

To play optimally, just keep spinning if you're using cyclone, or keep the buff active if you have static strike.

Static strike always felt clunky to use due to how it attacks, but the changes this league seem to have made it especially bad. The buff that static strike grants is one of the best ways to proc the relic nova unfortunately, so we're stuck with static strike or cyclone. Static strike does get noticeably better with extra attack speed, so keep a lookout for ways to pick it up.

The cooldown of the nova is 0.3s by default. This is increased by the mod on Geofri's Legacy, 'Summoned Holy Relics have x% reduced cooldown recovery speed'.

It is important to keep cyclone as close as possible to this attack rate to maximise DPS. I'm not sure how precise it is, but the closer the better, and be a little bit slower than optimal if you're unsure.

Have a good league start.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea what the attack speed was like last league? (just a rough estimate of attacks/sec or whatever) so I've got an idea what I should be shooting for so it feels smooth? Thanks again.
Hi,
Been following the build and loving it so far with cyclone. What allows us to cap our block? From your tree my base attack block and spell block without glancing blows are 12% and 38% respectively. If I am actively attacking (with the , this brings the attack block up to 24% - so even with glancing blows the 40% attack block I get is nowhere near the amount needed to reach the 75% cap. When you say max block, are you counting the 50% gained from bastion of hope every 5 seconds? Is there some way to keep the uptime on this going?
Thanks

Here's all the sources of attack block in the build:

- 12% from 2 nodes leading to Bastion of Hope (after we've attacked recently, which we always do)
- 11% from 3 nodes leading to Steelwood Stance
- 10% from 3 nodes leading to Whirling Barrier
- 5% from Enigmatic Defence anoint.

38% total attack block, which is then doubled by Glancing Blows, giving us 76% block chance. 75% is the maximum allowed chance to block, so we end up being capped.

Here's all the sources of spell block in the build:

- 20% from staff implicit
- 10% from Bastion of Hope (after we've cast a spell recently, and we're always flame dashing around)
- 10% from 3 nodes leading to Whirling Barrier
- 5% from Enigmatic Defence anoint.

45% total spell block, which is then doubled by Glancing Blows, giving us 90% block chance. 75% is the maximum allowed chance to block, so we end up being capped.

Bear in mind that this only applies once you get yourself a 6-linked crafted staff.

Sweet, it appears that I am just following some old pob link.

Thanks for all the help and support! This community is awesome

Static strike is too clunky as slow attack speed. I decided to use cyclone instead.
Get the Geofri legacy as soon as you can (yesterday i hit it as 1c for crest, 1alche for the map - tier 2 map so it's pretty easy to complete, 4c for the prophet -hmm but ok): 2 holy relics are sick, carry you easy to red maps in terms of damage (less than 10-15s per conquerer)
Get a 5L setup for Hoky relic (4B1R - 1c): Holy relic - minion dmg - controlled destruction - daethmark - brutality
The rest you can invest on survivability on SSF with cap res (can use the flask if not cap) and life.

One nub question: Why we opt to crit when we take RT?
What is dead may never die!
