[3.10] Herald of Agony Mana Guardian | 2.5 Minute Sirus 8 | Deathless T19 100% Delirium

Yeah brine king is really all i needed. Just get the muscle memory down to pop molten shell as you walk into any pack as well. Not really had a bad stun situation in quite some time.

Hi any ideas what I should upgrade next? I have no issues getting awakener 6 and 8 to the last phase but fights get too long due to a lack of dps and I lose the portals.

Likely due to me not being familiar with the fights but are there any changes I should make?

Most common mistake is to NOT face tank him in last phase. Just pop vaal molten shield / molten shield / all flasks and face tank him.

Empower 3/4 will help a lot as well.

So should I face tank him or not? :D

Yea empower 4 is out of my budget right now but I'm gona swap out poacher's mark for projectile weakness against sirus.

Is vile toxins the best replacement for pierce against st? I thought we did more damage with hits rather than poison. Picked up a 1% reduced mana jewel and I can slot vile toxins or hypothermia in.
Recently did some major upgrades, looking for advice on where to go next with my build.

I've got about 6ex left (lol) so I don't think there is much I can do right now except farm up some more.

Sirus does not do melee attacks so no reason to not be in melee range of him unless you're avoiding degen puddles or AoE attacks. His standard beam attack is easily tankable, his multi-combo 'DIE' beam is his most dangerous attack and can be easily avoided by constantly circling him in melee range.

Unlike Elder/Shaper, Sirus does not really have much in the way of soft enrage timings so your DPS doesn't really matter that much. As long as you can consistently survive all his attacks one after the other, whether by face-tanking or manually dodging, it's just a matter of whittling down his health.

My first A8 Sirus kill was on a HoAG jugg that barely broke 900k DPS. Fight took forever but he was tanky enough to survive everything so it was merely a battle of attrition.

Storms were the only difficult thing to manage due to their buggy/unpredictable nature but I did the strat of pulling Sirus SW twice and NW towards the stairs (but not right on it) the third time and didn't have any issues.

How do you guys deal with being stunned in this build?

It is pretty much the only thing that gets me killed and its very frustrating.

I run Bastion of Hope. I haven't been hit by stun in a long time. With capped block chance immune to stun is basically always up.
Just wanted to share my experience of why I was dying in the past few days.

The only time I'd die is when I fight legion in a corrupted T16 with nasty mods and there's a lot of corrupting blood legion rares. I sometimes panic waste my flasks and well corrupting blood kills me from time to time.
Corrupting blood cannot be inflicted on you is mandatory for this build I think, when it comes to late game.

The cheapest option is to do it on a Tempered Spirit which you can get for 2-4 chaos uncorrupted, even 1c if you're lucky.

Took me about 15 jewels before I got one, and it was well worth it.

Actually lvl 94, got 11 800ES whitout watcher's eye. Running 3 auras without bots

Just swapped to Cyclopean Coil with rare boot (without Cannot be frozen actually)

Anything to change or must be upgrade ? (still need shaper's and Skin with +1)

Summon Skeleton Experiment (Thanks NSUCK for the inspiration)

I won't add this to the main page just yet, still feels weaker than Herald of Agony with equal gear.

Level 94 POB: https://pastebin.com/Jy36PS1x

You will need a 4 Red 2 Blue Skin of the Loyal, and Vaal Skeleton or Summon Skeleton, Melee Physical Damage, Multistrike, Ruthless, Empower and Minion Damage.

Very slight tweaks to the tree as we do not need the golden rule socket for this build, and we can pick up more minion life/damage/regeneration passives.

I believe Carnage and Host Chieftains with Blood Magic, Meat Shield and Minion Life are superior for this build as we lack ways to get frenzy charges otherwise. 75K health with 100% defensive AI from meat shield is not Stoneskin Flayer's 175K health, but should survive most contents and you are probably not going to deep delve with skeletons. For Sirus you can always switch back to Stoneskin Flayers.

Pros:

1) 475K per Skeleton x 11 is 5.2 million single target damage, more than double the damage of Herald of Agony's single target damage at equal gear level. However in practice I still feel Herald of Agony kills bosses considerably faster.

2) If you can afford a Vaal Skeleton level 21, it gives you one of the best big damage cooldown in the game.

3) 4 Red 2 Blue Skin of the Loyal, if you can get +2 to socketed duration gems corruption, or +1 to socketed gem corruption, is 25% MORE damage each, heaven forbid you get both. Many people are not aware of the power of +2 duration corruption, so you may be able to get one for cheap.

4) You will have 4000 more energy shield than Herald of Agony at equal gear level, as you will be able to use discipline, put Primal Spirit or Utmost Might on your amulet and with two rare rings to cap your resistance, you can add a lot more intelligence, strength, mana and energy shield. You also have far less mana reservation problems.

5) Skeletons are stronger vs Sirus, as you don't need to stack Virulence in phase 3 and can DPS him more consistently.

6) This build will be significantly cheaper, as Skin of Loyal is off meta color and you do not need to buy a very expensive Circle of Nostalgia.

Cons:

1) You have to choose between acceptable clear speed or single target. Switching to melee splash will reduce your damage by 30% per Skeleton and your single target boss damage really struggles.

2) Your clearing speed is still vastly inferior to Herald of Agony even with melee splash. You can't compete with full screen pierce.

3) It is debatable how easy/hard it is to get all 11 Skeletons to attack the same boss versus getting 40 consistent virulence stacks. Skeletons die very easily and when you re-summon you lose DPS.

I still believe the Herald of Agony build is stronger across more contents. However if you can get a cheap corrupted Skin of Loyal or if you are simply bored with Herald of Agony, it is a cheaper, fun alternative that is also easier with the Sirus encounter. I am hoping for a melee buff to take Skeletons (or Herald of Purity) over the top.
