In POB you just toggle inspiration charges under configuration.

In-game via tooltip, if you wish to compare there:
check your current tooltip with controlled gem.
replace with inspiration, throw 5 times to have your 5 inspiration charges and let the traps go away so you can compare with only your 5 charges up (no traps active on the ground). You will see a decent dps gain on your tooltip in-game also.

In pob its much easier to see the exact gains and since inspiration charges are super easy to maintain at 5, it's just a permanent gain. (ontop of that, removing your mana flask and gaining EVEN more dps, by adding another flask, depending on your budget... atziris is just a few chaos and gives me 45k in pob. Ofc if you prefer you can also add another defensive flask! totally personal to each player:) Plus its obviously really nice not relying on a mana flask:)

Is it possible to make something useful outta this ?



Definitely. You can either look at Demi's guide (i'm not sure he updated for 3.9, but there wasn't much changes affecting trappers, so its not really needed) or alternatively you can take a peek at some life-rolling tinkerskin players at poe.ninja/builds, for how they go about making it work.

You can then always later return to this build, if you want to go the route of low-life and gain the damage this build has from running zealotry on life reserve and getting a 30% more multiplier from the skill tree.

My skill-tree is similar to the life version and very versatile imo where you can reach both life and CI nodes depending on what you want/can do/got budget for, which is why I can easily league start this each time and not having problems transitioning to low-life when I got the shavs.

I did it! 1m average hit after using inspiration support at the cost of only having 7.8k energy shield. The crazy thing about inspiration support is actually the ability to save up to 3 skill points. Although from PoB, running inspiration support seems to do lower dps than my awakened CD lvl. 3 gem. The only reason why I gained dps was because the 3 points saved allowed me to spec into stats to run a more offensive belt.

Deep thoughts can be cut out (2 points) and you are able to go the aura side of the sovereignty node (1 point) while gaining more damage.

I am trying but I can't get higher than getting Lightning Spire higher than 110k per hit and Lightning Trap at ~220k

That's some nice gear! 1mil per hit... so thats 24 traps, each doing 9 projectiles, each projectile hitting doing 1mil avg hit..... Do you even see the bosses spawn or does loot just drop on the floor when you enter a boss arena O.O

Ok I have to slightly puncture your damage, by asking where you get Frenzy charges from without master sapper, but still, 920k is insanely impressive and 300k more than me lol.

I can mention this little testing around I've been doing... the new helmet from Awakener that costs nothing.. well, with that helmet, you in theory won't lose much ES because of the global increase it carries and you'll gain Tranquility, which means you could anoint Master Sapper and have frenzy charges with tranquility dps intact. Overall though, it's hard to say if it'll be a plus or minus cuz' you have to factor in not having the reduce mana (so may need to fiddle with tree) and -9 resist from helmet crafting.

Food for thought though. Really impressive damage you got there however, absolutely ludicrous.
I dont understand how he can have that incredible gear..my chest costs 33ex...now im out of currency :D.... for 3B+1R+2G chest which cost 30 ex...dont have currency atm...
