Hey! First of all, good job on the updated PoB and all the work you've put in this build!

Little question about the new PoB though! I see we no longer take GB and only use the normal block, but our block is actually VERY low, is there any reason you're not pathing towards GB if our block chance is that low?

Also, I understand that we're at 23/34 without Tempest Shield changes, but that still only put us at 23/59, which is still far from Max Block.

+ In your PoB you only have 20% Mana left, which isn't enough mana to reserve Tempest Shield, is there something I missed that explains this? Sorry if my question has already been answered.

Goodjob again on all the work!

Believe with mana reduction Tempest shield will only take about 16% mana so it has room. Gem isn't updated yet so it's not reflecting.

I'm curious on the less block too and how badly its going to hurt the survability of the build. I know shields are supposed to have more block but not sure its THAT much more.

Oh, it does make sense now! Thanks for the headsup.

And yeah, not sure how it's going to be. I thought GB was originally used mostly for the #% ES recovery on block.

I thought GB was good because "If you have a good ES pool and can tank most hits, it doesn't matter if you get it since you're going to recover it anyway"

I understand that pathing towards GB is expensive, but I think it's needed in this case since we base most of our survavibility on this mechanic.

Otherwise, the only real layer of defense we have is 60% Spell Block with ES recovery basically only on spells + Blind... I think with the new "Uber" content (30 Simulacrum Waves etc) the build is really going to struggle if it's not maxblock.

We'll see!

You have to keep in mind there's also significant added survivability through new sources that wasn't present for us in 3.15.

We now can get/take:
30% less dmg taken from crits (crit mastery, easy pick and huge).
arctic armour (10-12% less phys dmg taken + freeze immunity).
500'ish higher ES regen per sec (passive upgrades/masteries).
Base ES is higher and all item bases in the game has had their base ES raised anywhere from 5% to 15%.
By NOT having GB we are no longer taking 65% dmg from every block.
Blind dmg reduction from 10% raised to 15%.
Tempest shield 25% spellblock (27% divergent)
Shields are no longer full of trash mods:) So getting the ACTUAL block/recovery mod combos we want should be easier, plus shields benefit from the raised base es and now has higher spell/attack block mods (i'd probably go for att-block on shield and cover my spellblock via tempest + tree + rumi's).
Pantheons also had a significant defensive upgrade.

Now these are probably not everything, but merely what I've spotted before actually playing. We don't know truly how things will play out until we get our hands on the 3.16 items and upgraded bases and see how big an impact the ES changes and the many new masteries have.

Although I'm very positive about 3.16, I don't raise my hands and yell that everything will be guaranteed AMAZING, because honestly, we can't know for sure until we get to play-test these many many new things, new numbers and cross-combine masteries, optimize gearing/pathing and everything again, since 3.16 is simply just such a huge overhaul for a majority of builds.

That also has me hyped though, a league with truly fresh content where we'll have to explore and learn, again.

As a build author, it's a nightmare to update a guide with such big skill-tree changes, but as a player, it's a huge hype and this thread/guide is so active (even during past dead leagues lol) that I have no doubt we'll be sharing experiences, tests, optimizations and so on and we'll slay demons with an electrical success. :)

Yeah! I we will see once we play the league, I'm still hype and will probably be trying to path towards GB to see what it does. Might lose around 3-4m total DPS in end game, but if it means more survavibility I'm all for this!

I think we have a lot of room for more playstyle, which is really nice. :)
Could anyone here convert this build to Inquisitor? And make a rough tree for it?
you think this will handle all content even the new ravaged blight maps?

Well this is hard question. We know close to nothing about new endgame content and with tree changes it's even harder to predict. Everyone here have the same questions. But we can get answers only by playing and testing everything.

But blighted maps? I bet they will be the easiest new end game content. It's tower defence after all. Maybe finally I'll have to do something other than few towers and standing next to the pump
what do you suggest the order of ascendencies be at this point in time now? seems you threw chain reactions out. I plan to optimize DPS so how should I optimize it now?

You want to go full DPS mode? Pyro=>perfect crime=>explosive=>last it's your choice.

Maybe we will be able to drop chain because of a lot of new sources of trap trigger on a tree. But everything must be tested.

I will probably go with pyro=>perfect crime=>BiS=> explosive/chain.

Everything comes down to BiS and how it works for us. After all we are getting 15% dmg reduction. If our defence layers will be enough to play without Bis then there is nothing stoping you from using chain and explosive expert. That way you have one free mastery slot because without chain I think we will have to use trap trigger area mastery.
