Does anyone know why the following mace rolling procedure wouldn't work?
1. alt maim suffix
2. regal
3. hope for maim suffix plus one or two prefixes. if not, scour and go to step 1.
4. craft suffixes can't change (2ex)
5. scour - you now have a single suffix rare mace
6. craft multimod (2ex) - 2nd suffix
7. craft cannot roll attack mods (1ex) - 3rd suffix. Suffixes now blocked
8. exalt/leo slam - +1 to socketed gems (weight 1000) is up against 2 cast on melee kill caster mods (weight 250 each). You've got a 2-in-3 chance of success
9. if success, go to 10 - else scour, transmute and back to 1
10. remove crafted mods using bench
11. multimod
and so on
The above is an rng-game and if you're unlucky it'll burn your currency much faster than the current mace rolling technique; still it seems at least competitive with the current method and much faster.

Edit - don't try the above until it's been vetted by the player base. I may have overlooked something obvious.
4. You definitely don’t want to pay 2ex to get to the single suffix rare. Just annul, and if you miss, scour and start again at 1. Doing several tries is a lot cheaper than 2ex.
This also means that you can remove step 3. as annul doesn’t care whether you regal a prefix or a suffix.
Depending on price of alt vs annul, you may or may not want to regal and double annul when you have maim + bad suffix at 1. I’d probably do it as 1/3 of success is not that much worse than 1/2. But if alts are very cheap and annul expensive, you can roll over until you get maim alone on the blue item.
As this is the cheapest part of the procedure, you should roll over lvl 18 maim and keep only lvl 20.
9. If you miss the slam, you can actually do better than start again from 1. Craft suffixes cannot be changed and scour: you get back to the item with maim, multimod and cannot roll attack mods. This means you go back to 8 and slam again. This costs you 2ex, while doing 1-7 costs whatever alts and annuls it takes to get to the single mod rare item, then 3ex of master crafts.
I’ll have to calculate the actual numbers, but overall, it looks like this method is a little more expensive on average than pure alt spamming, but has a much lower variance. You will need at least 4ex for this one while you could be done with 2ex with the other one (not counting the final master crafts: multimod, +2 support gems etc.). But you have a much lower risk to spend 10ex on it.
It seems that the health pool is good, but on the T11+ map, mobs kill me with one shot. Before that, I played for the Soulwrest necromancer who has nothing but CWDT + IC and Phasing, but even he felt more solid on the maps. I can’t imagine how to go on Uber Elder with this build.
I'm not saying that the build is bad or weak, but I would like to know how to improve the survival of the character.
I don’t use Animate Guardian yet, because I die too often, and I would not want to lose Kingmaker.
Spoiler
+Lethal Pride +10% Strengh
For more effective health:
1. Copy Mecielle's tree
2. Equip Shaper's Touch
3. Run Discipline
4. If your effective health isn't yet 10K, equip Geofri's Sanctuary
10K effective health is a transition point - once you reach about 10K hardly anything can kill you (you can probably withstand shaper slams and phoenix blasts). Below 10K, one-shot mechanics will sometimes kill you.
Once above 10K, extra health is at a point of diminishing returns (perhaps save hardcore and/or pushing for lvl 100).
At 10K+, IMO it's ok to sacrifice some health for DPS (e.g., Nest instead of Sanctuary).

Hey guys back again, and im at lvl 94 and just beat uber elder :D. Was wondering what could i do to my build to improve on or even possibly getting to 1k strength just so i can get that buff from baron.
https://pastebin.com/0atSR0fx says im still using a maul but im actually using a convoking wand and shield
Convoking wand + shield, 2x convoking wand, 2 shields kappa - all bad choices. Use femurs 5L and zombie 21 gem until u get mace. Ditch mana flask and life flask for utility
I don’t use Animate Guardian yet, because I die too often, and I would not want to lose Kingmaker.
Animate Guardian does not die when you die, so there is no risk.
I was scared of losing him as well, so I didn't use him for quite some time but he is really tanky. I think he got close to dying once on the Phoenix Guardian, those explosions hurt a lot.
You could also give him a cheaper weapon first until you are confident in your Guardian's Ability to not die ;-)

Yeah... I agree. I removed my post as it's basically a less-refined version of the same method vegeto079 referenced in a pastbin link (https://pastebin.com/JfYyazcY) above (vegeto079 posted while I was editing my own post so I missed his before posting mine); looks like you caught my post before I could remove it, lol.
My sense is that this method may actually have a lower expected cost - maths pending.

I think it is possible to use in this build bow variation with juicy stats from quiver.
Haha... Looks as if you've implemented something I'm working on for fun:
I'm hoping to craft movement speed on the bow... but if that gets too hard I like the fossil craft you've rolled.
You can try craft Corroded + Prismatic + Serrated + Shuddering Fossils. I already closed all content with this bow.
Yes, straight up cold looks very strong.
I'm actually playing with ele prolif/freeze - freeze chance is about 69% or so with everything up and its working out pretty well. I don't have nearly all the gear I'm aiming for, but with a cobbled-together set of so-so gear I've taken it delving; freeze is very strong.
Weta explosions are very rare and most of the screen is frozen so incoming damage is quite low. It's noticeably far smoother than the phys damage setup.
Not sure how it's going to hold up as I delve deeper but so far it's very smooth.
