[3.25] Scourge Arrow Poison Prolif Pathfinder - Fast, tanky, fun to play
sup guys im kind of a new player (2nd league) and im trying to focus on this build but it feels like i hit a wall, i just dont know what to upgrade next. PoB says i have 2.9m Shaper DPS (https://pastebin.com/bbkxF8hd) so i just wonder how some of you achieve 15m+ dps. I know i can switch my unbound and deadly ailments to the awakened versions but leveling them takes some time, and i was looking for the more "instant" upgrades that would be available.

Hello everyone, this is my character as of today. Played it since league start, it never fell short. Looking for suggestions on improvements. Current budget is around 10ex.

POB 3.9 https://pastebin.com/CkidWnkZ 6k life 87% chaos res Shaper DPS according to PoB (to calculate, im using thorn arrows + release at 5 stages, and times 1.27 for mirage archer) With Vile Toxins it's at 14.55M // total damage per poison 1.65M With Mirage Archer it's at 9.55M // total damage per poison 1.05M The reason I include total damage per poison is (partly) the reason for my post. I see a lot of people on this forum thread min-maxim for DPS whereas I've mostly focused on poison DPS under the reasoning that attack speed does not boost a lot of actual kill time on this build from a certain point onwards. For example i've opted for Vaal Blight instead of Vaal Haste. So the question I would like to ask you is: am i wrong in this reasoning? Do you guys feel like attack speed actually helps kill bosses and trash faster? On a similar vein, how worth it are Tailwind boots in this context? -- Lastly, thank you everyone for participating in the discussion and OP for the great guide! Crafted a new quiver:
This one was a bit more expensive since i spent way too many divine orbs trying to get perfect rolls. I was curious if I would miss the frenzy charges, but so far, I keep frenzy stacks up when fighting metamorphs and map bosses. On Sirus/Elder/Shaper, I switch back to my other quiver with frenzy stacks which helps keep my dps up. Had to buy a new Jewel too for fire damage: Now my dps is: 11.65m Thorn 4.66 5 Stage x1.276 Mirror 20.81m total dps Love this build. Still need to farm EX to get a turbo watcher's eye. |

" Don't see you running despair anywhere - this adds a huge amount of dps (millions). You could add a gem or upgrade your embalmers to curse with despair on hit. Either one would be a big improvement. A belt with + chaos damage and resistances is fairly cheap too. I found my first one for around 60 chaos. Also, jewels with better/more damage mods would be good too. |

" You're getting near my own damage values, I think particularly due to your (imo, save for those who likes headhunter) BiS-ish belt that you have: " My own belt is similar and (afaics) we are only two ones (that I've seen active in this thread), that are able to run 2x pure damage nostalgias which is huge, as compared when one is needed for chaos resistance. I believe this kind of belt is one of the main facilitators for allowing this. Sick jewel on that belt btw! If you want to keep min-maxing (you're getting near my own damage values) you could consider using vaal haste instead of vaal grace, it should push your damage to ~22mil-ish Shaper DPS for the Mirage Archer variation. My own damage values at level 95 are currently (damage is Scourge Arrow Thorn Arrows + Release at 5 Stages): - 29.3mil Shaper DPS w/ Vile Toxins variation - 24.4mil Shaper DPS w/ Mirage Archer variation Most recent damage increase mainly from going to the Large Ring Thread of Hope variation as well as finally getting a pair of Tailwind Boots: I even managed to squeeze elusive in there, meaning I've now dropped Withering Step (only ever used it for the elusive; don't need wither for non-boss mobs where I rely on wither totem instead) and opened up another gem spot. I should run some labs to get a decent enchant on them, though. Vile Toxins vs Mirage Archer? @Sanchezi as you are pushing your damage values so high, I would recommend trying out the Vile Toxins variation instead, to get a feeling; basically not needing to kite (and rely on MA) on most bosses now as they die so fast, meaning I'd rather have them die even faster with Vile Toxins. I only ever switch to Mirage Archer for Sirius and some uber fights. Tailwind Boots? " Tailwind boots, especially if you can get ones with elusive on crit, are not only great for damage a major QoL investment. Remember that for your first hit attack speed naturally matters, and with the higher damage values everything basically needs only a minium-spore hit. " Yeah, I started to build pure damage nostalgias with my jewels (resist city on the jewels) and figured it was too expensive to try to upgrade all my jewels by running chaos resist in one of the ring. I'm going to go try out vaal haste - I have been using grace to ez-mode map bosses and metamorphs since it adds so much evasion for a long time (34% spell/attack dodge for 12.5 seconds). Good point on Vile Toxins. I'll have to go try this out to see how it is and post back with my thoughts. |

Flat +% Chaos Damage: As for Jewels, I look for a mix of these defensive and offensive measures: Defensive (suffix) (prefix): +% Increased Maximum Life (p) +% Elemental Resistance (Fire and Lightning, All Elemental Resist, Fire and Cold, etc.) (s) +% Chaos Resistance (s) Offensive (suffix) (prefix): Tier 1: +% Increased Chaos Damage (s)(p) +% Increased Attack Speed with Bows (p) +% Increased Damage with Poison (s) +% to Chaos Damage Over Time Multiplier (s) +% Increased Damage with Ailments (s) +% Increased Damage Over Time (s) +% Increased Attack Speed (s) Tier 2: +% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier (s) [Coralito's converts this into damage over time multiplier with perfect agony] +% Increased Global Critical Strike Chance (s) +% Increased Damage with Bows (p) +% Increased Global Accuracy Rating (s) +% Stats (Int + Str, Int, Str) (s) +% Increased Damage with Two Handed Weapons (p) +% Increased Poison Duration (s) +% increased chaos damage is weird in that you can get a prefix and suffix modifier so I have seen jewels with +22-32 chaos damage. |
