PS4 trade prices are an UTTER joke

Exactlly...I'll take one item I've looked at at in both PS4 and PC market...Level 18 Unique Pole Axe. A 3-Socket Linked in PS4 is 2-5 CO's. I see these 2-3 Link ones dime-a-dozen in the PC market for "One Alchemy Orb". I pulled up some Lower Unique Armor with 3-4 Link sockets and I'll bet the House & Farm you NEVER would see those prices in the PS4 side...Hell Freeze over before that happen.

And other night...I did two bids on items "with the asking price'...next day rejected and they bumped their price up. In the meantime the pages of items keep growing and expanding...and I wonder why? Seriosuly...do some think everyone has some magical Orb Tree in their hideout they can yank and gather 5-6 orbs daily. I'm level 23 and got my first Chaos Orb today. yet there it is...asking for 4-6 CO's on one item....what are you to do about the other 4-6 pcs of gear?

I wouldn't worry to much about buying things in the market right now with where you are at. At level 23 you're not going to be dropping a lot of currency (in terms of chaos). A lot of the farming you'll be doing won't be till later levels when you get into maps. I haven't had a lot of time to play this week and am just now at Act10 Kitava, which is slow for me. Usually I get there by day two. I'm playing a slower build and have been enjoying the league content so I'm not racing through.

In my experience I don't really mess with the market while I'm leveling and just use rares I find off the ground. The only currency I've spend this league was a Chaos and 2 Fusing on Day 2 to buy a limb split and a chaos yesterday to buy it's prophecy (I had tried to buy one the previous day but the only one wanted 15c) The rest of my gear is rares found on the ground that I crafting bench missing mods. Right now I'm sitting at about 4000-ish armor with 3.5k health which has made me pretty tanky leveling up. With where you're at now you should be at Act 3 or close to it and there you should start seeing 4 socketed/linked items dropping. If you find a particularly good rare you might need to spend a couple of jewelers and fusing's to get the sockets you need. So I wouldn't sweat looking at the market to much except maybe keeping an eye out for the uniques you need for your build to see if you can snag one cheap or for a reasonable price.

Lol personally I prefer the market the way it is here. On PC you basically get everything except a handful of items for free. How long does it take you to farm 5 chaos orbs? like maybe 5 minutes, thats easily doable. Why do you think that should buy an item that might take you 10 hours of running atziri straight to drop for example? Yet Doryani's Catalyst is indeed that low already over on PC, so running it is totally unprofitable in the first place. The market on PS4 at least allows people to acquire wealth by playing the games content, whereas that is not quite the case on PC from what I can see.

That's because the player base on computer is bigger and you have a lot more people running Atziri day one or two and so those items are going to drop a lot more frequently. I'm all for a item being priced according to it's availability and expect to pay a decent chunk of chaos or an exalted orb for an item that only has 2-3 on the market. However what isn't fun is when you see 10+ of a leveling item and everyone is trying to sell for 50+ chaos or even an exalted orb or more. My mentality is that of a SSF player even though I play just regular league so if it's something I really need and don't have a way of generating that much currency early on, I'm more than happy to wait to catch someone selling it cheaper.
Just found out that on PC they have a botting problem. They have bots that farm currency and loot and trading bots that trade currency. It's possible to make 1000's of chaos a day without even playing lol. This is the main reason for the disparity in prices on console.

Yes, that is true, but I highly doubt that every one bots. A portion of the player base, yes, but not everyone.

Anyway, I'm back playing D3 s17 for a bit of fun. No way I can compete on the LBs anymore with the 2.6.4 patch changes favouring group players with massive paragon even more...solo players are screwed, so just having some fun playing alongside a mate for some good ole couch co-op.
It is simply the fact that on console you have only a few (i guess maybe 15%, or even less of the PC plaer base) players compared to PC version.
So as it is in the real world, low offer but high demands causes high prices.

Exactly why drop rates need to be adjusted on ps4 to match the player numbers.

What? I'm not gonna bother going into Keynesian economics, but scenario's where it's possible to make 1000's of chaos a day on PC do NOT explain a lower cost of goods on PC. Just think about that for a second. It's absurd you'd even suggest that.

Or ppl adjust their prices if no one buys, so the marked regulates itself. :-)

Droprates are fine. If you want more drops stack Increase Item Quantity or just farm more. Valueable drops should be rare. Please dont turn this in diablo 3.
