PS4 trade prices are an UTTER joke

The Ps4 Standard Trademarket it's completely fu**ed up.

When tryng to buy something prices are just crazy high:
Breachstone for 1 ex,Twice Enhanced prophecy for 1 ex (I mean, it's fu**ing gamble!), Stygian with all mods tier 7/8 for 3/4 ex..
In the meantime I keep getting offers for my stuff (the ones not priced) ridicously low. I'm talking about 1 chaos for Devoto, 1 alch for Unique maps, 1 chaos for Haemophilia Gloves etc..etc..
not mentioning Div cards: I had to set private my Div Cards stash beacuse I was flooded with offers like 1 chaos for SixLink Astral Plate/Watcher Eye/HeadHunter etc.etc.
I Just imagine people spending hours and hours in game trying to fool someone instead of playing the actual game Lol.

When we were in Synt League prices were much more reasonable. I understand that now in Standard only few people are keeping play, but the market it's just not working anymore.

I'm still selling stuff because I'm trying to keep prices as low as possible but then you receive complains because you set your Void Battery (which I dont ant to sell if not for a very good price) completely max rolled at 25ex: dude poe ninja says that Void battery it's 1 ex!!! Ye, sure, on a server with 7 years of grinding on the shoulders..

The perfect photography of the situaztion it's on the currency:
If you want to buy an Exalted you have to pay 8 divine orbs for it.
If you want to buy a Divine Orb, it's 1 exalted for 4 divine orbs.
It's just tragicomic.

Whit all that being said, I can't understand what Devs should do, I mean it's none of their business how we manage economy.

What a nice thread to read.

It's easy to see the guys who sell at insane prices (to make shady business outside of the official game mechanics mayhaps) and how they try to justify their actions by telling don't compare to pc.

Sure noone should compare 1:1 to pc but at least they have a community who can flourish by not pricing everthing including normal white weapon/gear at 3-5 exalts. It's common sense since, when everyone can affort something more often, everyone can benefit even if you dont get 30 ex (in 10 years) for one item you get 1-5 ex every now and then. It's a win win for everyone but greedy people won't change it's basically lifestyle as seen IRL too.

When you do stuff like that people will either stop playing bc they can't reach their goals with their builds or try to sell everything they have just to get a normal weapon with no mods and waste all their time in legion just to craft something good out of it and stop play next league because this league took everything out of it only to be able to play for a short while with their dream build which is fun for a few days.

I can tell because I am about to stop play till next league caused by these insane prices. Sure I could farm for the gear etc by myself too but I don't have 24h time for grinding like these marketing guys do.

I hope ppl will realise that it is not worth paying insane ex prices to these greedy ppl and learn how to craft etc. so they can reach their goals without sacrificing a ton of currency and keep the game alife on ps4 because it is dying a slow death.

Who's paying though? I don't see 50 ex Starforges moving. Just about any weapon that is the titles of a build is priced at 20 or more exalt on PS4.

Are PS4 players even holding on to 10 exalt yet?
The overall state of PS4 pricing has very little to do with economics or player count for that matter. The issue stems from a lack of price insight and visibility. I just spent 3ex on a Devoto's Devotion for gods sake...and 4ex on a 6 link Sinvicta's...Another issue with trade is people setting prices and then not accepting the offer once received. We should have some sort of automatic acceptance for those items that already have non-negotiable prices listed.

So, the ps4 economy has nothing to do with economics or player numbers? LOL... just LOL

Not really...if new players had resources to check PS4 item prices and see what recent sale prices were the problem would essentially right itself.
Players can check the trade board built into the game? Wtf are you talking about? You think some special website will dictate prices in a player controlled/driven economy?

The trade board built into the PS4 version offers nothing in the way of previous sale price information...POE.ninka keeps the PC market in check...why no the console version? Also every single exchange whether you are trading stocks or commodities allows buyers to search back prices, there is a reason for this...

So, you go buy a used car from a dealership, think they're gonna tell you how much they bought it for? You can ask all you want, but you will not get an answer.

So...go buy a base model car, one price
Add in a few upgrades, different price (number of sockets, linked sockets on an item)
Go buy one that's fully loaded with all the gadgets, different price (6l item with perfect rolls)

What website is going to price items based upon specific stats, sockets, links, corrupted or not.. if so, what corrupted mods. I mean come on
