[3.9][HC/SC] Soulrend Trickster - Fast mapper with great defenses (League starter/All content)
" Alright, thank you. Since I have some decent generic caster gear with life/res I'll go EB/MoM, gather gear for ES and respec later on, should work :)
I'm just looking at respeccing my tree from Mom to CI, but i took the Templar AE nodes because i'm mainly Bane.
It should cost me about (educated guess): ~15 refund Points to get rid of Templar Area and Mom. ~15 points for Life/Manan/Pathing nodes i don't need anymore. ~6 points to make the pathing efficient again (not really necessary immediatly). It feels like CI is actually more efficient pathing wise, so i feel like the build should be stronger than Hyrbid/Mom. I plan on using Qotf, The Vertex, Cerberus Limb and Aegis Aurora (at least until i can afford "gg rares", so most likely forever ;)... Haven't done the math yet about how much ES this results in but with Ghost Shrouds it should be good enough (atm i sit at 3300 ES while being Hybrid and not having specced any pure ES). @Syreith and everyone else.
Have you tried Arcane Surge as the 6th support for Soul rend? 20q lvl 15 Arcane Surge: – 10% increased spell damage – 17% more spell linked damage – 17% more global spell damage --> improves Bane as well. – 17% global cast speed --> also improves Bane & Flame Dash. – 0.9% mana per second 20q lvl 20 Swift Affliction: – 10% increased damage over time – 44% increased damage over time – 15% reduced duration (!) 20q lvl 20 Void Manipulation: – 10% increased chaos damage – 39% more chaos damage Arcane surge offers 37% more (1.17 * 1.17) vs 44% more or 39% more damage, but has much more beneficial side buffs. Arcane Surge is affected by Efficacy and increased duration on the tree, making it virtually permanent! I'm not sure about how damage works with empower levels (I'm HCSSF anyway so never getting empower 2+) but Arcane Surge seems better than Swift Affliction and Void Manipulation. |

So, looking for some tips from you guys. Currently on my skill tree, i deviated from some defensive nodes to pick up the extra damage from the minion nodes, but i'm going to be pathing into dark arts soon to do a dualwield wand setup. I was wondering would it be worth it to take the points out of those minion nodes and put back into the defensive ones (more evasion/energy shield) and then speck into dark arts. I feel like the damage boost from the wand alone will make up from the loss of the minion nodes and have a nice boost to defensives.
Any guidance would be appreciated! Last edited by _Ocaun_ on Mar 18, 2019, 12:51:26 PM

As an HC player i feel very unsafe becuz the casting speed of soulrend takes like an hour
Every time i charge into a pack and want to instant cast the spell, but it doesnt, it takes forever to load and then ur nearly dead if not charging back first.... Is this just cuz i have no casting speed or is it normal? |

Has anybody tested tricurse life/MoM/EB with vixen's entrapment? Enfeeble, despair, temporal chains, and I guess enhance, maybe, in gloves.

" whats there to test? i just tricurse with Corspris chest. it works good. vixens are pretty bad for this build " xD RF wont activate on hit. its VAAL RF u r interested in, and vaal version do not suck u Last edited by 3ryk on Mar 18, 2019, 2:51:20 PM

I have a question about the Vaal Righteous Fire fire spell in the CWDT setup
" How is it supposed to work in the MoM setup ? As soon as I get hit hard, my life will drain to 1 HP, meaning in a boss fight its almost impossible to survive. Should I remove the gem for a boss fight, or what is the mechanic behind this ? What am I missing here ? Thanks for any explanation
" means you run vaal RF as a skill you press manually (only vaal one). if you activate standard RF it just sucks your life away while vaal RF just takes a portion once. i dont think u need to use this skill at all tho
" Arcane Surge is good and I think is still recommended for non-EB versions of the build. You cannot proc Arcane Surge by spending Energy Shield when you have Eldritch Battery. For that reason it is not suggested in that version of the build. |
