[3.6] Indigon Winter Orb- Fast, Tanky, High Damage |Deathless U.Elder, T16 easy farm

What pantheons do you recommend? - I understand its subjective but curious on your preference.
Major: Solaris. Mainly for the physical damage reduction on bosses. The elemental damage reduction also helps reduce the degen from RF when not in combat.

Minor: Doesn't really matter. I am using Tukohama.
What do you think about this Scion version?
https://pastebin.com/gL6EUAga (Elem + Pathfinder, check tree options)

It has ~same HP and mana, their leech and regen, better DPS and immune to reflects.
But has also ~25% lower movement speed and probably some good stuff from pure Pathfinder ascendancy, like less flask charges gained from enemies.
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!

@desmondk07 did you corrupt your gloves yourself or you bought those ? How many attempt did it take ? Got an amulet ready but I'm uber lazy about the corruption of gloves. Having to buy doedre's tenure one by one, buying the prophecy and running Phantasmagoria each time .. bleh.

Bought a loreweave with +2 projectiles, but also 5% reduced cold damage taken, gotta say that adds a nice mitigation considering taste of hate converts 30% of physical to cold.

Also, wouldn't Carcass Jack be a better/cheaper alternative for Loreweave?
They are way cheaper on the market. Also coloring them to 4b-2g would be much easier than A/ES based Lore

Well, I did it with another gloves

It tooks over 30 attempts, probably more. And ppl said I was extremely lucky.
Only 1 attempt was with Ele weakness. Another curse I've got was Despair lvl 10.
Also there was +2 to warcry and aoe gems. Lot of just white socked recolored.
6-7 bricks also. All other was just corrupted.

I was corrupting/ bricking Malevolence myself for about 6-10c per pair. Was at my 4th and 5th attempt until I saw somebody put my current gloves on sale for 15c and grabbed it with both hands!! Lol I don't understand why but I think a lot of pple doesn’t really know how to price stuff.

Edit: if you don't have the glove corruption, you can always put the curse in the 2nd wand if you have the trigger craft. I ran with that setup with frostbite for a while and it works quite well though it's more for bosses.

Carcass jack is subject to individual preference I think. The extra AOE (+2 radius on WO) is always good on mapping not sure about single target though.

The reason why I still use Loreweave is because:

- 3% max resist each = 12% elemental damage reduction which is still good on U elder/ delves and that is also unaffected by reduce max resist map rolls/ phoenix etc.
- Synergy with taste of hate for more physical reduction
- it reduces my life degen on RF by 300/s which is really useful during mapping or waiting on boss animation.
- it has up to 60% crit so you can save 2 nodes or 1 weapon roll.
- 6 linked +2 socketed gem corruption is much easier to buy and probably cheaper. still need to color it using vaal 1G (spent 1 ex+ doing that)

When loreweave was 80% max resist it was no match. There are options now.
You can even go for eternity shroud if you want to go ham on damage but good luck finding a 6L +2 socketed gem!

I had a look. Don't really see higher DPS on POB you probably need to uncheck Vaal RF cos if I do that on my tree then DPS is like 1.4m.

I actually had thought about making a scion version earlier but decided not worth it. Scion gets some of nature's boon on PF (rest is useless) but I don't think that is enough to sustain 100% flask uptime like PF do on bosses. Don't forget that PF/ ranger tree gets 60% increased flask charge which makes that 3 flask charge per 3 seconds into 5. Without 100% flask up time I can also imagine that scion would find it difficult to sustain RF (non Vaal) for 40% more damage. Also it seems you only have 30% more effect on flask on that tree...so you can't really get the same from dying sun/ LMP/ conc effect.

The only reason why I would use a scion is maybe for Inpulsa but I don't think the explosion is half as effective as elementalist. So all in all I can't really see anything you would get from scion that would be better lol.

Personally I would rather go for a Trickster version with that crazy wither enhanced DPS but I haven't really seen a video of a U. Elder fight on that build so not sure if that damage is realistic.

Hi DK,

Thanks for the build guide. I created this character over the weekend and am having a lot of fun zooming through content (can farm uber lab easily too).

I am now at a point where I want people's thoughts/recommendations on what I should prioritise to upgrade next.

The character is called FakeSoba.

Below is a list in my mind that I should aim for, but I'm not sure what to prioritise first:

Gem
- 20/20 all other supporting gems

Gear
- Please excuse the gems in one of my wands as I don't have 'Trigger a Socketed Spell' yet so I haven't put any useful gems in it.
- Purchase a 6L Loreweave (Currently using a rare 6L)
- Upgrade Wands.
- Get Corrupted Gloves / Loreweave
- Get the right Helm Enchant.
- Get Green Nightmare Jewel.

Flasks
- Wise Oak
- Taste of Hate
- Quality all Flasks.

Interested to hear what people think I should prioritise on for next upgrades.

Thanks everyone.

EDIT: Typo

I wouldn't worry about helm enchant too much right now - lab runners are enchanting hubris' for profit, not indigons. If a +2 stages Worb enchant on Indigon shows up, it would sell easily for 40+ ex. I ran about 60 times this weekend, and got crap - wish I had enchanted hubris' myself, at least then I might have made some money.

20/20 gems is first priority. You can get them cheap in most cases, especially corrupted ones. Usually a couple c's each.

Boots with 2% life/mana regen enchant are probably next. You can get them less than 1ex, but could go higher depending on other stats.

Belt with mana recovery and an open prefix - craft 4% effect of flasks, so you can drop Conqueror's Potency and use a better jewel. Under 1ex.

Keep an eye on wand upgrades that are cheap.

6L Loreweave is about 4ex. Kinda nice to get because it helps you build around it (resists).

Green Nightmare about 8-9ex. Nice to have, but spendy.

I did Wise Oak/Taste of Hate very late, because balancing resists while constantly upgrading items is a pain...

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Just wanted to follow up and ask about wand upgrades.

I can see from the guide that late game, BiS is the Shaper Profane Wand with T1 Elemental Damage as Extra Chaos Mod + Multi-Mod.

Below are my current wands which I purchased last weekend for 5c and 10c respectively:

The BiS ilvl 85 Profane Wand is around 4.6ex+ at the moment so that's out of my budget.

In the interim, I should prioritise the following mods when looking for Wand upgrades:
- Cast Speed;
- Increased Spell Damage;
- Increased Cold Damage; and
- Adds x to x Cold Damage to Spells.

Is my understanding correct?

Thanks
