1) Why not taked Spiritual Aid on tree?
Its just 2 point for + 25% minion damage + accuracy. Its some kind of disadvantage with this node?

2) Its still obsolete gear in guide? Im looks to trade and its no more 40% minion damage on helms, and no more scepters with 90%. Only two hand staff have 100+ and this Convoking Wand - only one-hand option with 80-85% minion damage.


My necromancer feels very glass now. Its 4900/2100 HP/ES buts on red map often oneshoot (or kind of) deaths. Probably because still cant cap resists.
And im compare in PoB - my spectres DPS is TEN times lower then in build from guide. Im play many years but still not understand anything in poe(.

12.5% minion damage per skill point is not what I would consider good value.

Ahh yeah you can take it if you wish, i just prefer more toughness at this points so usually damage is not an issue at all.

As for minion damage: that's a very interesting discovery! and it was NOT listed in patch notes. LOL
I found out what happened. GGG nerfed minion damage on sceptres to 74 and moved the 90% one to the convoking wands. Nothing mentioned in patch notes lol

I believe Flame Sentinels may be the better spectre when compared to Solar Guards.

TL:DR PoB with calcutions and notes (https://pastebin.com/FgRneb4q)

Solar Guards get a rather significant penalty to their damage when they start using GMP.

Flame Sentinels don't have this penalty of the GMP, due to the nature of their inherent skills.

I also believe the DPS of Solar guards may be a bit deceptive due to Solar Guards having a "reload" animation from the Beam skill, while Flame Sentinels have a far more consistent animation and likely a more consistent and true DPS calculation.

From messing arround with PoB i get the following, sorted by calc. DPS

370K - Solar G. - Single target
256K - Flame Sent. - Deathmark
234K - Flame Sent. - Classic
208K - Frost Sent. - BUGGED?
203K - Solar G. - Deathmark
200K - Flame Sent. - Feeding frenzy
194K - Solar G. - Classic
158K - Solar G. - Feeding frenzy

Gem setups can be seen in the PoB

Its my understanding that Solar Guards reigning supreme due to their slightly more aggresive AI than other spectre, but with the introduction of feeding frenzy every minion can get this behaviour and by using feeding frenzy on Flame sentinels i believe i have better damage than Solar Guards.

In case notes dont follow with a PoB pastebin link, i will attach them here.

2.1) Lightning damage, so that we can calculate for Frost and Flame Sentinels and Solar Guards


Configuration notes //
1) Deathmark box tick appears to only apply to gem setups that includes deathmark and thus won't affect the other setups
2) Feeding frenzy appears to have the same interaction in the calculations as Deathmark
3) We are calculating shaper DPS, as that seems to be the norm.


Other notes //
1) I dont think tweaking the tree affects the damage in favor of one kind of spectre, but i may be wrong.
2) The tree is my personal tree and i would advise against using it, i just imported it for calculations
3) Flame sentinels have been set to use Multi Fireball as this is the lowest damage source

projectile speed and cast rate os flame sentinels is very shitty, unfortunately. Same for frost ones

Proj. Speed appears the same to me, but i may be wrong and cast rate doesn't really matter once it is above 3-4 cast per second.
Also, what im saying is that FS are better SG in every way except one specific boss killing setup.
