[3.5] Ele Thickk - Super Tanky Ele Hit - Uber Elder Deathless -No Xoph's -No Frostferno - Videos Up
Im really struggeling with leveling in a "new league" aka SSF.
Any advice? | |
Having some trouble with the damage for uber elder fight. I can leech and stay alive fairly well but DPS is lacking compared to tri-herald BV (which is too squishy for me in UE fight...). Any suggestions?

I am a noob who just beat act 3 with Witch to unlock a scion and want to main her. Can I use this build as league starter? Can I get simple tips like what skills/weapons I should use to level while trying to build this.

" I want to test some things out and for that I would need to drop Cold Snap. What exactly do we lose by dropping cold snap, what are downsides of not having it?
You lose out on a little bit of a damage increase from Yoke of Suffering and The Taming if you're running it, as you lose the freeze/extra ailment, other than that nothing that I can think of.
What are you planning to test out? |

" Hale Negator seems amazing for life builds with enough abyss jewels so I need to lose 2 gems in order to try it out.
Hmmmm. It seems good in a defensive sense, kind of, but I don't know if it could beat out the sort of helm you have already, let alone one that has the hybrid life prefix and another res. I feel like the life recovery would somewhat defeat the purpose of overleech. Not saying it's not worth trying though if you've got one with the Ele Hit enchant, without I don't see how you could make a fair comparison to any other helm.
As for what gems to remove, I think maybe take out the inc duration you have with blood rage on your gloves, put the cold snap in there, and then remove the inc duration from your cwdt setup? |

" Defensive sense is why I want to try it out. Thing with spirit charges discharge on Hale Negator is that they are instant and they can prevent one shots since you can effectively have 21-24% or more hp (depending on how many abyss jewels you have). We still don't need more damage when we Delve to 900+ I am at now but even white mobs at easy bioms can one shot you even at 10k hp. It's too late in the league to test it now, I can't find Hale Negator with any decent enchant so it will have to wait for Betrayal.
I hadn't realised you had delved down that far, kudos to you! I've settled for getting a bit past 600, don't really feel a need to go deeper just for the sake of going deeper; and I'm not sure that this would be the build I'd want to do it with anyway, but you've obviously pushed the boundaries of what it can achieve =)
I can defs understand wanting to experiment with the Hale Negator in that case, as long as you're not getting literally one-shot then yeah I imagine the healing could be quite significant. I wonder though whether it + overleech would actually be enough to keep you alive in a situation where you'd be getting two-shot in a short space of time. Would be interesting to know, but we can't be sure how easily it will be to even get a hold of one in Betrayal, let alone finding one with the enchant. I guess you could look for ones with the Blood Rage AS enchant as a substitute to potentially make it more attainable. |

" There's better builds out there for pushing deeper (Pathfinder abusing PP auto aiming hiding behind a corner or abusing immune to everything MS Pathfinder) but those builds either take waaaay too long to kill anything (first case) or they can't do ele pen bioms and take even longer to kill something (second case). They are not viable for actual farming that deep and they just want to complete the node and log out straight away in most cases. My char isn't even optimized completely, there's few upgrades and things I wanted to do and test but it will have to wait for Betrayal. In Betrayal we will have access to some double corruptions and few other things that can make us even more tanky while keeping or even increasing dps. Because of that I expect to be able to handle 900-1000 easily (granted values and Delve remains mostly unchanged like GGG implied it will be and granted build doesn't get nerfed). Simply I want to be able to farm deep down unlike those other builds. I am able to go out of the way and pick up valuable fossils and other nodes and farm cities that deep and that's extremely profitable and fun to do. There's cities and fossils and map nodes and all other cool things that become so frequent deeper you go. I have few other ideas beside Hale Negator I will try out to go really deep once I have sufficient currency in Betrayal. edit: To answer your other question. Slayer overleech is absolutely still great to get your HP up before getting hit again. Hale Negator won't help you fill up the hp bar, just get you insta heal for fixed amount if you get savage hit.
